  1. Hi there, our case got DQ'ed and the interview is this Thursday, as we are cross checking documents before the interview one question came up - Do we need to upload a copy of petitioner's USA passport and bring the copy to the interview? I don't see this required on the instructions but according to USCIS, a copy of USA passport is needed. Can you kindly help to advise? Thanks!
  2. Thank you for helping. Do you know if I upload the documents to CEAC now, will it impact my interview date by any chance? I do also have questions regarding the interview: 1. Do I need to accompany or go to the interview as a petitioner? 2. In terms of marriage proof - we don't have any co-owning financial stuff but we've been living together for many years and have photos, the Embassy letter did not specify any materials for proof of marriage, would you recommend us to prepare anything like that? Thanks again!
  3. Thank you for your advice! Do you know if I do submit all the files to CEAC portal, will it delay or impact my interview date or no? Also, does the petitioner need to be present to the interview or it's ok to just let the applicant go? Thanks again.
  4. Hi there, After months of wait my case is finally DQ-ed with interview scheduled, in parallel with the DQ message, there is a "Case FE note" which NVC recommended me to get a joint sponsor to fill in I-864 because they think my case does not met the financial requirement. As a petitioner, my financial and salary condition is well above the HHS poverty guideline but since NVC recommended me to bring a joint sponsor's 864 form, I did get my relative who is a US citizen to act as the joint sponsor. A couple of questions about this which I'm hoping to get your knowledge on: Now that my case is at the US Embassy, do I still need to upload joint sponsor's 864 form to the CEAC portal? On the I-864 form, should the joint sponsor select "I am the only joint sponsor" or I am the first/second sponsor? I assume it should be "I am the only joint sponsor" On CEAC portal the system only asked me to bring a copy of the joint sponsor's 864 form, but should I also collect the joint sponsor's passport scan, signed 864 form, and 2021 tax return just in case? Are there any other things I've missed in this case? This forum have helped me tremendously during the application process and I really appreciate all the help I've been getting from you!
  5. Hi there - sorry for the late reply, I received interview notice two weeks after and we are preparing for the interview, as well as gather the i864 info from a joint sponsor. Best of luck to you!
  6. Hello there! After months of wait we finally got an email from NVC regarding our case update - all documents are accepted but there are two Case FE Review messages This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. Please submit the petitioner's Evidence of Income. For more information, visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin. I am a bit confused because based on my tax return and 864 my income is well above the poverty guideline for the past three years, is it because I am living outside of the U.S so they take extra cautious in this case? My question is, I will be relocating back to the U.S later this year and have a Relocation Agreement from my employer which have my U.S salary in it (just got it last week so that's why I didn't submit the first time) - would this Relocation Agreement be enough justification as "Evidence of Income" since this will be my income in the U.S? Do I still need to fill in another I-864 with a joint sponsor? Also, Do I need to fill another new 864 form if I submit this new Evidence of Income? As you know it takes about 2 months for NVC to review anything that goes back in the queue, so I really don't want to cause any more delays as I am hoping to move back to the stats with my spouse. Much thanks!!
