My understanding is it is mainly in the name of applicant. If the name matches (sometimes only vaguely matches) someone in their database of people suspected to be a threat to national security, they are targetted for extreme vetting. Other parameters are education/ work in technical fields, and origin from certain countries.

Yes you’re probably right and would explain why infants and toddlers receive it.

updated on may 26 jun 7 aug 3

august 4 10:30 morning updated to ready

    11:30 am updated to issued

    so i waited 78 days

so what im trying to say is be patient but some cases here are very unreasonable wait like Ice-qube I really wish you all the best 😊

    Ps

i was lurking for a month on this site reading everyone’s comment trying to find good news

No 5535? If yours took 78 days for AP without extreme vetting that does not bode well for 5535 recipients.

    Hi everyone,

Which doctors will do any missing vaccines if needed? I heard there was a couple of them that don't.

I heard Teluls health in Montreal will?

Is there any in Toronto that will?

It’ll cost you some to get it done at a panel doctor. Do you have Canadian health insurance (OHIP/BC MSP etc;)? Some of the vaccines are covered, at least they were for us

without a long history of travel to countries deemed "terroriats training"  and/or other warnings

and born Uk citizen,  your ds 5535 should be a lot faster for CO and embassy to check

and it seems strange they gave him the ds 5535 to flll out

This is speculation. Some members in the 5535 Montreal thread who are Canadian born with no travel history to designated countries of concern have been waiting a very long time.

Meanwhile on K-1 groups, people are jumping for joy and getting their visas at breakneck speeds. Most of these people have applied long after we have. I am happy for them, don't get me wrong. But it is hard not to be jealous, let's be honest.

I’m just catching up - are you saying that the trend for DS 5535 at Montreal skews towards a certain visa class?
