  1. June 10, 2024- package delivered to USCIS lockbox July 17, 2024- email confirmation of receipt on June 10th as well as message that NOA was sent but no notice via snail mail yet. I-485 and I-765 applications both available on myUSCIS account. This is our second time applying as our application mid-April 2023 was denied May 2024 due to the missing final page of our affidavit of support. When we applied in April 2023, we received NOA within two weeks of applying. Seems to be taking much longer this time around.
  2. My husband's I-485 was denied on May 28th and we decided to move forward with both an I-290B (motion to reopen) as well as refiling a new I-485. We were just missing pg. 10 (the last page for additional information) of our I-864. We received an RFE to resubmit our I-864 and when uploading our RFE documents online, instead of submitting the PDF with our complete (all 10 pages) I-864, I accidentally submitted a jpg that only showed the first page. Our denial notice stated we failed to submit a complete and signed I-864 "with all pages present" as the reason for our denial. I'm preparing our I-290B for my husband (he is the applicant and is addressed in our denial notice as the person who must appeal) but I have a couple questions. Question 1: Part 2. Item 4: Requested Nonimmigrant or Immigrant Classification How do I answer this question? My husband came on a K-1 visa and we married and sent off his I-485 within 90 days. I can't find any information about what his requested classification is. He didn't come on a spousal visa, but do we state CR1 as his requested immigration classification or do we put the generic LPR? I also found these possible immigration classifications: CF1Spouses, entered as fiance(e), adjustments, conditional IF1Spouses, entered as fiance(e), adjustments Question 2: Part 7 Additional Information Do I leave this blank or just make reference to the brief I plan to attach as a separate letter to USCIS making our case, along with our complete I-864 originally intended to submit for our RFE. I'd also love to see a letter anyone else might have submitted. I haven't had much luck finding one on the different forums. I'm aware most people decide to refile and don't submit a concurrent I-290B. We decided it's worth the $800 for the chance that our case may be reopened. Thanks in advance to anyone with insight!
  3. We filed our paperwork for my husband's EAD card on May 16th, 2023, received approval on December 16th, 2023 and received his card on December 30th, 2023. Our case progress shows that our AoS case should receive a decision in approximately 3 weeks (we filed on April 20th, 2023). Hope that's helpful to others who are still waiting!
  4. Hello! I'm and AoS for April, but since there's not much activity on my month's forum yet, I thought I'd start here in case anyone else experienced what we did. We received a notification receipt for our I-765, I-131 and I-485 but also received a strange RFE that requested documents we already submitted. Has anyone else encountered this? I'm attaching a redacted picture of our RFE for reference. The document states: You have submitted Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, from the petitioning sponsor. We are unable to process the I-864 because it has one or more deficiencies. In order for us to process your application further, you must: Submit a completed and signed Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, from the petitioning sponsor. All pages must be present and of the latest edition date. Provide the petitioning sponsor's Social Security Number on Form I-864. Provide a complete and correctly calculated household size for the petitioning sponsor on Form I-864. Submit a complete copy of the petitioning sponsor's Federal income tax return, including all supporting tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, Form 2555, and tax schedules) filed with the return, for the most recent tax year. I sent all pages, using the most recent edition from the USCIS website. I looked at my exact copy and found my social security number where it was required. I calculated our household size as 2 (1 for me, the petitioner, and 1 for my husband, the beneficiary). I submitted the last 3 years of IRS tax transcripts, the accompanying W-2s, paystubs from the last 3 months and a letter from my employer. Has anyone else encountered this or have a suggestion for how to proceed? I was planning on resubmitting the whole I-864 form, just the last year's IRS transcript and maybe my most recent last 3 paystubs. I'd be grateful for any advice! Katie
  5. I'm still looking for more information about my particular situation, similar to this quoted situation above, but with the opposite problem. This was the most recent forum I could find, rather than starting a new thread. I'm attaching my fiancé's DS 3025 for reference. His DS 3025 was marked "K Visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements", but MMR record was left blank and the blanket waiver was marked as "D- Not available in country". My fiancé was told he didn't need the MMR vaccine and that his vaccine records indicated he'd already had the vaccine (he had the shot as a child, but vaccine records were lost and his updated adult vaccine record appeared to show he'd recently had MMR shot, even though he hadn't). He has since received his first MMR shot. Do I go to a civl surgeon to have the I-693 vaccine transcription section filled out on the off chance that we get an RFE for an improperly filled out DS 3025 or do I trust the section marked "COMPLETE"? I would appreciate any advice! DS 3025.pdf
  6. I see that section three is marked "K Visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements" but under MMR, the doctor marked "D" (not available in country) and it's my understanding that MMR is a requirement. Just want to make sure that we don't get an RFE down the road. There is no section for the doctor to mark "vaccinations incomplete" on the form used.
  7. I'm starting a new thread because I'm unsure if the previous DS 3025 conversations are still active, but please feel free to redirect me to a more appropriate place to post this. My fiancé just received his DS 3025 form after completing his K-1 medical exam. We are preparing the AoS package of documents so that we will be ready to complete the final components and mail everything off after getting married as soon as he arrives. I'm unclear as to whether my fiancé received a "vaccinations complete" assessment on his DS 3025 or if we need to keep the appointment I made with the civil surgeon already, thinking he might be missing some vaccines. If his DS 3025 is complete, I'll just send a copy with our application. Otherwise, I understand we need to fill out form I-693 and have a civil surgeon transcribe and sign off on the vaccinations portion. We'd like to avoid the added cost and time to see a civil surgeon if at all possible. Please see attached and any advice would be super helpful! DS 3025.pdf
  8. My understanding is that those are documents that will be required for the K-1 interview. I believe that only other types of visa applicants need to submit those documents to NVC... unless you're saying that you got an RFE from NVC?
  9. Wow! Thank you so much. I'm incredibly grateful for that information. If that's my visa package, then it looks like it arrived this afternoon! Hopefully they'll update the system tomorrow. That was such a gift!
  10. Hello! I have a NOA2 date of November 11th, 2022 and my case is currently "in transit" since February 14th, 2023. I know I belong to the NOV. 2022 K-1 timeline, but it looks like more people in this group have been approved and have had their cases leave NVC than my group. I saw a post earlier about "tracking" via DHL, but I've been unable to get that to work. Does anyone have anecdotal information about how long cases are in transit for? I understand that each embassy is different. My case is headed to La Paz, Bolivia. I'm just hoping to get a range of time to know how long I might have to wait. Thanks!
  11. Our case status changed to "In Transit" and we received our letter from the NVC stating it was being transferred. When I logged into our status in CEAC, it stated "Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center". Did anyone else get this message? We weren't provided an interview date by NVC and the embassy stated that we weren't able to choose our interview date, but that it would be assigned to us. Did this happen to anyone else?
  12. The invoice number allows you to log into the website ceac.state.gov/iv which gives you next steps. Mine only says form DS-160, which we filled out, but we were unable to schedule our interview until our case is transferred to the embassy. I'm not sure if you will need the invoice number for anything else. My case is still at NVC and we're hoping it will be sent out on the 14th/15th this week.
  13. I would suggest submitting another inquiry to NVC requesting your invoice number. I received both together but in an unclear way and when I asked for clarification, they responded within a few days.
  14. Ceac says "at NVC". I was just concerned that I might need to get a senator involved or inquire again if it's only supposed to take around a week to transfer to the embassy. Has anyone else had a shorter turn around time with NVC case creation time to transit to embassy?
  15. Hello! Our case was created with NVC on January 20th, but we've yet to hear anything else. All we were told was that we'd be informed when our case was sent to the embassy. I saw someone mention in a post here that it should be a week tops for our case to be transferred to the embassy. Anyone far enough along in the process that they can comment on whether that's normal or what the estimated time should be from case creation to embassy transfer? Or maybe there's a different thread I should join for those who received their NOA2 in November (our NOA2 was November 11th)
