  1. Make sure you register for the courier service as instructed on the 221g -- but don't drop off your stuff until after the medical as you need the passport. I don't think we used DHL for the courier service on this step. But then again maybe you have different instructions.
  2. we redid it all. and we had submitted his passport to the courier service prior (as instructed) and we were actually told to go pick it back up and bring it to the medical.. so just don't F around - bring everything.
  3. You have no choice but to do one year of consecutive random drug testing as they instruct you. if you dont complete this random testing you can never get a US visa... it sucks.. my partner just went through it... He is finally arriving in 12 days -- but it took us 20+ months once we were banned like you are now. Good luck, don't smoke and take it seriously. We didn't fail the drug test -- we just admitted to past use and got a ban. Let me know if you have any specific questions. There is not alot of information out there. No this is incorrect -- it starts on the first random drug test after you are banned -- regardless what the letter says.
  4. Keep emailing -- they literally need to email you and tell you that the process is complete... or they will call him. You will get 221g paperwork just like Kelly above and that will instruct you what to do. I reached out to my state senator for help -- once they reached out on our behalf the embassy told us our testing was done and things started moving quickly.
  5. https://amhosp.org/usmedical/ medical here!! And no -- for us we didnt upload anything only -- we just had to physically submit another package with the passport and ds260 via the courier service. dont forget to get passport photos for the medical... you will get instructions for medical once you fill out the form on the website above!
  6. Kelly -- You need to only do the items in RED After he does his medical at Andrews -- you need to submit the passport via document courier service (you must register for this service -- the directions are on that same document you took a photo of at the end) and also do the ds260 and once you do the DS60 -- email them a copy of it immediately. they will confirm receipt. you are almost there. My partner's got issued on Monday. Stay strong
  7. Soooo our status changed from "Refused" to "Ready" today.... But had I not bothered the embassy with emails asking what was going on after our second medical I'd still be waiting for them to initiate contact. When they responded to me about why things were taking so long they told us the 2nd DS160 we filed was expired which wasn't the case. And until I send them screenshots of that same DS160 and previous correspondence from them stating that they had associated this new DS160 with our case -- they clearly were sitting on the wrong info... so since then they finally moved our case along according to CEAC -- but they haven't corresponded with me about the DS160 (just the status change -- so I'm assuming they found our DS160 again). Point being, follow up with these people. How long from when you guys saw Ready in CEAC till when it was Issued?
  8. Yep, same email! But as PinkLion mentioned -- always put KNG# in the subject line. And I've always gotten a response from them after a few tries at that email -- it just takes them a while. I tend to only send one email every 2 weeks (and ONLY when there is actually something to follow up on). It doesn't help to overwhelm them worse than they already are. Their answers are always short tho -- and never extra info. And since I left that last message here, my case date was updated in CEAC today (the last update was 2 days ago when they sent me an email). But still says rejected... ####### ARE THEY DOING BEHIND THE SCENES -- I just want them to hurry the f up.
  9. I also had the same experience where our letter for our one-year ban stated it started October 28, 2021, but it was delivered to us on January 9. The holiday season was a 2-month delay. We sent it over to Andrew’s on Jan 20th 2022. So when October 2022 came around we were so excited that we were close and were again disappointed when we found out the one year actually started from our first test which wasn’t until February 2022. So we are still waiting, it’s August 2023. We started this in September of 2020.... Talk about a ###### disaster. Been raising our daughter alone this whole time...over stupid "admitted past use". He has his 2nd official medical last week and our status still says rejected too. I sent an email to the embassy yesterday if they were going to update our status or if they needed anything else. they said "This file is currently under review. As soon as the case is concluded, contact will be made." So vague so lame. We filed an additional DS160 (as we are a k1 visa) and were told not to worry about another interview. So fingers crossed we will hear any day now. I know they update ceac anytime they touch the case. So it's always good to see the date move even if it says rejected.
  10. My partner has his second medical tomorrow. He completed his one year of testing a few weeks ago. His status still says refused too. Dont worry. It will change once you submit a new DS160. You will get a 221g handout requesting whatever information they want after your testing is complete. our 221g requested only a second medical... and another DS160, and for us to send his passport to courier services... then the medical sends the info to the embassy. then supposedly we get a stamp after this if all goes well... the information is horribly limited -- communication is worse. this is literally a nightmare for most of us.
  11. KingstonIV@state.gov this is where I communicate for Jamaica. And they take awhile. patience it will happen.
