@Lkkclub123 Can you please tell me the cost of the examination? Unlike other places in Ontario where I can easily find the cost, I can't find anything on their website. I much prefer to go to Montreal than Toronto because my wife and my daughter are in Ottawa. Thanks in advance!

Thank you @ACC24! I hope so too. I know that everyone is going through tough time with all the waiting but it has been especially hard for our family. This green card interview is for my wife and my daughter. Because of all this waiting, we have been separated for more than 2 years now...

I'm not sure how different the questions from the embassy will be compared to USCIS but my feeling is that the questions will be very similar. I did my green card interview (EB2-NIW) in the USCIS office in Boston and I thought it was a big waste of time. They asked me about my job and I had to explain what kind of research that I was doing (I'm a scientist). After that, they literally ask me questions that were on my application like "1- If I was part of an organization that wanted to harm to the US government or 2- if I was part of a terrorist organization or 3- if I was in a polygamist relationship". Just be honest and the interview process should be fairly straight forward.

She is Canadian so she didn't need her non immigrant visa stamped. The first time she tried to cross to the border after graduating from a Canadian University to live with me in the US, they refused her entry because they were concerned that my wife was going to over stay her visit in the US. Last time she crossed the border, it was just to visit me for a short period of time and most importantly she had a job in Canada so they let her in.

You can enter while awaiting IV but in certain situation, you could be denied entry to the US. This happened to my wife once. After she finished school in Canada, she wanted to join me in the US while waiting for the IV but denied entry at the border.
