Hello Well here we are almost 3 years after we mailed in our I129F.. Man what an adventure its been.. My fiance and her K2 daughter finally got here in Jan and we got married in Feb filled AOS (I485, I765, an I131 in Mar and in May had the biometrics done here in NC.. Were now getting ready for 2 things. 1- the marriage green card interview 2- in Oct our other 2 K2 kids will be interviewing atbyhe BKK US Consulate in Thailand for their k2 visas While i thought things would get easier they are just as complacated as the I129F was when I really didnt know what I was doing.. 😁 Iv learned a few things since.. So my questions are: 1 - what documents do i need to send to Thailand for my 2 follow on K2 kids interview...? and is it an interview since they were listed on the original I129F that got approved in Oct of last year? 2- for our ( myself and the wife) K1 green card interview what docs should i be getting together for that interview? and is their any other forms like the DA260 or I130 or I864 that i have to fill out an resubmit new or just bring copies of the originals to the interview.. iv been reading alot of conflicting stuff Theirs pretty good stuff on the USCIS site that iv seen then i read some legal immigration sites who say different. 3- also has any body who's been thru the interview have any advise on the interview process they could share

They will be ok to travel by the 2nd week of Jan because her medical will be good until the 2nd week of Mar.. yes? but as long as she gets here befor the 2nd week of Mar..? -
Hello My wife got her K1 visa in Jan 5th of 2024 and 1 of the 3 kids traveled with us to the US. we have 2 K2 kids that will be traveling soon their schedualed interview is Oct 10. Im wondering how long after their interview do my K2 kids have before they have to travel to the US? My oldest has her finals in Dec. Also since our I129F has already been approved by the US consulate BKK and the 2 follow up K2 kids are named on the original petition what documents do i need to get to them for the BKK consulate interview as the petitioner? Also does their interview date in Oct effect the 1 year time line to travel for their departure form BKK since we filed their DS160 back in Mar and just last week got the Oct date..?

Roy an Panitta replied to Etherial's topic in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
I have a question. I just got my I-179C (NOA) for all of my I485 packet which included the I485, I765, and I131 for my wife and my K2 daughter except she dosent have the I765.. When we got the NOA's for all 5 submitions my daughter was assigned an A# as she came in as a K2 under my wifes A# and thats how we filed all the forms.. Now my wife has has her A# on 2 of the 3 forms but she has my K2 daughters A# on her I765 NOA but with my wifes name... So im wondering is that correct or do i need to do something...? Also i turned in the AR-11's for address change on March 28th and I submitted the packet on March 11th and we got our responce April 12th but all of my wife and daughters NOA forms went to our old address. I got the recipt acknowledging my change in the mail.. should i wait longer, resubmit contact ISCIS or what..? -

Filing for SSN before or after marriage, K1
Roy an Panitta replied to rierose's topic in Social Security Numbers
My K1 fiance came in to the US on Jan 17th and we got married on Feb 2nd. Im looking to get her SSC at the local SSA. Im planning on getting it with her maiden name so it'll match her Thai Passport that were useing for her ID until we get her green card. My question is on the SS Application question 5- Citizenship check one- choices are: 1-US Citizen 2-Legal Alien Allowed to work 3-Legal Alien NOT allowed to work (see instructions on page 3) 4-Other (see instructions on page 3) The instructions state: 5- If you check legal alien NOT alllowed to work or Other you must provide a document from a federal state or local government agency that explains why you need a SS Number and that you meet all the requirement's for the government benefit. so. My question is what is the document were supposed to have if we check number 3 or Other. ?? My assumption is since we are K1 an my step daughter is K2 we will check number 4 Other.. correct.. -
Hello, My K1 fiancé came in on Jan 16th with her K2 child and we just got married on Feb 2nd. Im currently looking over the 485 and 765 an 131 forms and running a rough draft filling. So i was hoping to run a few thing past you guys: 1- I-485 My intentions are to take my wife and our step daughter to the SSA an get a social security card under her maiden name an my step daughter in her original name as that will be her name on all the forms. So the SSC will match my wifes Thai passport. Then im gonna file the 3 forms in my name. By the time we go to SSA and i file the forms i dont believe she will have her SSC or SSN but we would have filed WIFE Form I-I485 Part 1 #14 Has the SSA ever officially issued a SSC to you. (Answer) Yes If you check yes than answer #15 which is your SSN - - - -- --- (answer) leave blank if we dont have her card yet #16 Do you wont SSA to issue you a SSC YES NO ((check YES) #17 Consent for Disclouser I authorize disclouser of information for SSA to issue me a SSC YES NO (answer) Yes K2 Child should be the same as above except her name will be the same on all forms plus her SSC 2- PART 1 Information about you when i last entered the USA Im not sure about the choices listed as they dont seem to match the K1/K2 visa entry Part 1 -25a was inspected at a port an admitted as (eg) exchange visitor, waived thru, temp worker, student 25b was inspected at port of entry an paroled (definitely not this one) 25c came into USA without admission (definitely not this one either) 25d Other- ( im figureing this one as writing K1/K2 Visa entry) Also the Part 1 #26 if you were issued an I-94 Arrival Deperture record im assuming to leave blank or is that information on their (wife and step daughter) visa on their passport? Part 1 #27 What is your current Immigration status? (If it has changed as since your arrivial)? Not sure what to answer since were married. Part 2 #2 Are you applying for adjustment based on Immigratioin and Adjustment act (answer) NO INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR IMMIGRANT CATAGORY What is derivative applicant and principal applicant- im figuring this section doesn't apply to the K1/K2 visa AOS correct? Part 6 Information about your children my wife has 3 kids 2 that will be follow on's later this year an one that came immediatly. All 3 are listed on the I-129F when we filled and at her interview my wife told the immigrations officer that the other 2 will be follow on's. So here on this section I'm figuring that all 3 should be listed. 3- FORM I-765 WIFE Filed in my name and use her maiden name in the previous names sections Part 2 #13a- Has SSA ever issued you a SSC YES NO (answer) Yes If answered yes provide information on 13b #13b- SSN --- -- --- (Answer) leave blank if we dont have her card yet #14- Do you wont SSSA to issue you a SSC? YES NO (answer) Yes #15 Consent for Disclouser- YES NO (answer) Yes Part 2 #21a form 1-94 arrival departure record number? Where can i find that? Thank you guys ahead of time i know its alot and alot of it has already been covered here on this thread. Im looking for feedback that im going in the right direction. Just one more thing if for some reason we dont go to the SSA to file for cards and i file the forms will y answers change in any way. Wondering as im still filing that i still wont SSA to issue a card. Just wondering as i still intend to got sometime this week

CR1 nice to see my original quote still floating around. hope it helps someone just an update on my status. we are now schedualed for our K1 interview in BKK on Jan 5 2024. so i posted this in July of 23 when USCIS was working our month.. took 496 days to get our NOA2 approval.. i still believe that if i were to do it all over again knowing what i do now id do the CR1 ticket.. when i get my fiancean the K2's here to the US i have to file for change of status an then file for her to be able to work an then an then more things.. costs an time differance after the approval favors the CR1.. in my opinion. When we went the K1 an K2 direction i thought it was best for the kids an im not sure how the USCIS factures them into the equation for the K1 vs the CR1.. so we went the safe route. Good luck on your visa adventure.. this site is a gold mine of information..

Help with new I-134 Form
Roy an Panitta replied to solmalhombre's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Im also trying to figure out the same issue.. were scheduled for our interview BNK on Jan 5 Part 2 #13 the way i saw on you tube is to fill out the fields with the names of beneficiary an BDay an put Self/ Beneficiary I hav a K2 attached so listed both so looks like this: Individuals full name. DOB. Relationship to Beneficiary. Income contribution to Bene Jane Doe. 11/11/1980. Self or Beneficiary. $0 Jane Doe jr. 11/11/2010. Child. $0 Total # Dependents. 2 Total Income. $0 Also the Part 3 #14 Income: Do i put my jobs yearly income based on my W2 here? Also i make a certain amount every year based on an hourly wage an my income has been down in 2022 because time off traveling back an forth from the US an Thailand. So do i put what my 2022 w2 says or my 21 W2 that shows my full yearly income. ? Or can I list my full years income an provide both the 21 an 22 W2's...? -
I134 Help
Roy an Panitta replied to Roy an Panitta's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I also have one other question: Part 3 #21- INTEND TO PROVIDE SPECIFIC CONTRABUTIONS TO THE BENEFICIARY: Theirs to boxes to check 1- INTEND 2- DO NOT INTEND TO MAKE SPECIFIC CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE SUPPORT OF THE BEBEFICIARY I checked Do not intend and then in the additional information box at the bottom of the question i put in 1 sentence. We are getting married an i intend to support the beneficiary with 100% of my resources. wondering about any thoughts... -
Hello im sure this topic has been covered else ware but iv not been aboe to find my specific questions so if the moderators need to move the thread please do.. Im currently hand writing an finishing up my I134 for our interview scheduled for Jan 5th 2024 in Bangkok Thailand an iv got a few questions. 1- Their will be alot of open or blank boxes like in Part 6 an Part 7 about the Preparers information (if not the Petitioner) an such, can i just leave that all blank or should i N/A all of it. Same thing in Part 2 Beneficiaries Assets as she will have non to list. 2- Do I have to do a I134 for my fiancé and her 12YO daughter separately? With her name as the beneficiary? 3- Part 2 #13 Beneficiary's Income: Here do i list my beneficiaries full name an DOB even tho she will have no income? Also her 12YO daughter will be coming to the interview an leaving with my fiance do i put her full name an DOB with $0 income.. Also do i put $0 or write NONE in the income box 4- Part 3 #8 Other Information: i'm not sure about the USCUS Online Account Number i did creat an account with USCIS at My USCIS to track our progress an such is that the account their talking about. I cant seem to find any account number associated with that account? Also it says (if any) so if i just leave it blank would be ok? 5- Part 3 #14 Income: My yearly income is 74k a year. Im sending my W2's for 2021 that shows my regular yearly income of 74k. My W2's for 2022 are 64k because of all the time traveling back an forth to Thailand an my 2023 income will be about 7k less than that because of the same reason. So Our interview is Jan 5 which will be to early for the 2023 W2's an taxes. Will it be ok to just send my W2's for 21 an 22 cause we wont have the 23's before the interview? Im also gonna send my Reserve checking account statement that has 48k in it. So im wondering if this is gonna be enough to send as I really i dont have anything else until Early Feb when we close on our new house? I did check the USCIS site an the HHS Poverty Guideline of 125% for a house hold of 3 is 31,075. Im looking for confirmation just in case their is something else out there that im missing. 6- Income Documents for Part 3 #14- i'm sending to the interview my W2's 2021, 2022, My Reserve Checking Account Statement, A letter from my company verifying my employment date of employment an hourly income. Also im sending a letter that my company does. Its a petitioners letter for the USCIS called (USCIS letter of support). Also an Employment Data Report that shows my yearly income an variations to income. Is their anything else i should send other than the filled out I134?

we got an interview spot for Jan 5 of 2024 at the U.S consulate Bangkok.. our 1st spot that we found when we started looking in early Oct was in May of 24 my fience keep looking until a spot just randomly popped up which wasnt there earlier in the day.. we were hoping to get a spot in Nov as im currently here. For some reason when we were initially looking we could only access the sit 5 times a day then the site would say that we would get locked out.. so we were limited to 5 searches/queries a day. My fiance found a service that for 1500bat would keep looking for a closer date so we gave them our login info an they'v been pretty good about keeping us up to date on the activity.. the payment is due if an when they find a closer interview date no money up font. They work closely with the US consulate so not sure what that means but my fiance looked them up an they'v got great reviews on youtube an some other places. they primaly do other visas like the B2 an stuff because the K1 slots vary rarely cancel, but he said the consulate will perodically add spots based on workload an manpower.

So my fiancé an i are getting our doc's an stuff ready for our interview here in Bangkok Thailand. For our proof of continued relationship we have alot of stuff we'v accumulated over the 490 days waiting :-).. from pictures, trips we'v taken an family photos. So on the subject of the family shoot we had one shoot done professionally in a studio. My fiancé wonted to have it done while her father was still alive as he is in his 80's an she lost her mother 4 years ago without anything like that. The photo shoot included semi casual dress clothing an her traditional villages clothing for everybody. Now am i over thinking the subject an wondering if the consulate agent might get these pictures confused as a traditional marriage photo shoot as opposed to what they are.. A family photo shoot. i remember reading some where online that. A couple filing a K1 visa did a local village wedding ceremony somewhere in a African country i believe she said they had no state or country registration paper work, but they took the pictures of the event to the interview as proof of continuing their relationship an the consulate said they filed the wrong visa they should have filed a C1 instead of a K1. An their K1 was denied.. Id like to hear what you guys think. I after all of this time dont wont to take any unnecessary chances..

I got my letter from the thai consulate an Im trying to pay the fees for the interview so i can get registered and do my fiancé's DS160.. my letters link me to apply for a USA visa in the immigrant section under the K1 visa it says to create a usa travel docs account. So do i create the account with my fiancé's information or does she create the account? the setup account section is asking for a DS160 barcode number so do i do the DS160 before paying the interview fee an setting up the account? also the DS160 is showing up under the nonimmigrant section and the DS260 is in the immigrant section panels.. i know iv got to the the DS160 so do we just do that one..?
-
On the apply for usa visa in thailand during the initial seet it ask the classification of visa K1 or K2.. my fiance an her daughter will be attending the interview so the set up site will only let me select one option K1 or K2.. so lookig at the instructions im assuming the K2 is the correct option to check? Also do i set up the account on the apply for usa visa or does my fiance.. the steps that im going thru are asking for my passport information an stuff but some of the auto fields are Thailand.. so not sure whos information goes in there
