  1. Wow that's incredible! Update, so I called Uscis today and said that the Phoenix lockbox got the AOS package on July 13th and nothing yet ... Their response, yes but you need to wait 30 business days at least ... useless answer, like always .... What is going on? That delay is insane. Shall I contact our senator's office or is it too early?
  2. Thank you Gary, I will try that one 🙂
  3. Thank you, I called USCIS last week, and send an email to the lockbox, but no reply
  4. Hello everyone, Filed AOS for my K2 at the Phoenix lockbox, they received it on July 13th, no receipt yet and nothing cashed. It's been almost 4 weeks. Any advice? Are other people in the same situation? Thanks for your help
  5. Hello everyone, I don't know if I am overthinking or getting worried for nothing ... My 18 year old daughter went to the Paris embassy on May 29th, for a follow to join k2 visa (we got married last November 2023), the interview went fine, she got approved and was told she would get her k2 visa within 2 weeks. It has almost been 2 weeks. The Ceac status is still on ready, and they worked on it on May 31st, and June 5th. Since then, nothing. I sent them an email and they replied the consular officer is still reviewing her file. Is she in a backlog? I know they have a lot of work, since the embassy will be closed during the Olympics. They got all the necessary documents and most people getting their k1 interview on that day already have their visas issued. Am I overthinking? Does a k2 visa take more time, because mine got issued in just a few days last September 2023. Has this happened to any of you? Many thanks for your help and feedback !
  6. Hello All, Little update with good news! So the embassy replied and all is good, they reactivated my file and created one for my daughter. Appointment is set via the system for May (she has to finish school anyway until the end of June). Very happy this got solved, we are now preparing all the documents.
  7. Thanks, if nothing happens in a few days I will just do the DS-160 and go ahead
  8. Yes, I will actually do that immediately and forward the email again ... lol ...
  9. I hesitated to mention "urgent" in the topic not to pressure too much, but I will definitely do that on Friday if no response!
  10. Yes thought about that indeed, but I am afraid that because I initially said "probably not", that the embassy needs to reopen the file or something, that's why I also emailed the AIS platform to find out.
  11. Thank you so much, I will follow up by email if I get no response on Friday! It's so frustrating that you can never speak to a human being lol
  12. Hello everybody, Asking members for advice on a K2 issue. I am in the US and married since last November, waiting for AOS. My daughter (17 years old) initially wanted to study in France and join me later with another petition (I-130), and I when I was asked during the embassy interview (visa issued on September 29th), this is what I told them. Now, the distance and frequent trips to visit us in the US have been emotionally very hard on her and she now wants to join us asap. I read everywhere that she normally has until 29 September 2024 to travel to the US with a K2. I sent an email to the embassy in France to know if we can still do this (because I initially said no), explaining the situation. They do not take phone calls, only emails, it has been 3 days ... Can I expect a response from them? Are you allowed to change your mind when you initially said there will probably not be a need for a K2? (I am sure I am not the only one, life situations tend to change) I emailed the NVC and they are telling me to see directly with the embassy. I also emailed the AIS staff taking care of the DS-160 to ask if I could go ahead and just do a DS-160 for her. I am waiting for their reply. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there any hope for a response from the embassy? Should I just go ahead with a DS-160 in case there is no response, or should I just drop it and file a I-130 with my US citizen husband as the petitioner filing for his stepdaughter? (which will take another 18 months to get her here) Many thanks for your advice and help
  13. Hey guys, Interview with visa approval for me today as well! Hopefully it gets issued quickly! Wishing everyone luck !
  14. Paris only has one day at the end of each month ....
  15. I just received the instruction letter from Paris, they responded to my email after 17 days. I did the same you did, appointment scheduled for 27 September and medical on 11 September !
