Had my Oath Ceremony in Chicago on Thursday Sept 22. They allowed one adult guest per person. I wasn't sure if the limitations and brought two extra people to the ceremony and they allowed them to come into the room after they realized that there are still available seats. Everyone was in great spirits and the officers were super friendly. The judge said a few wholesome words before the ceremony and then after we all recited the oath, we received our certificates. They didn't allow photos in the courtroom but we were directed to the museum on a different floor and that's where everyone took pictures.

So relieved that my immigration journey is finally complete, and best of luck to everyone still waiting 💕

UPDATE: I had my interview today (Baltimore Field office) and I passed (as she said with the perfect score on all questions, ha!).

    Details:
    Applied Feb 5, 2022
    Biometrics Reused - Feb 6, 2022
    Interview Scheduled - June 13, 2022
    Interview Date: July 18, 2022, 11:30 AM
    - Walked in, they said no worries about me not having the original of my passport, they can do the interview without it (HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF ON MY END, as it is stuck with the UK embassy for a visa stamp)
    - Waited about 8 minutes, was called to the interview office, escorted to a room.
    - In the room - my interviewer was actually connected via "FaceTime" - on the iPad. She was remote. I did not expect it. I am not certain if that is a covid measure or not, but it is what it is.
    - She asked me if I am going to say the truth etc. - I said yes. She asked me to put the green card, and my govt. ID on the table (I guess they have cameras on the ceiling)
    - She proceeded to the 6 civics questions (longest river, what did the declaration of the independence do, how many years is the representative selected for, why are there 50 stars on the US Flag, There are 4 amendments to the constitution about who can vote  - describe one of them)
    - she then asked me to write a sentence, on an iPad (sentence was: Washington is the capital)
    - she then moved on to my application, Yes/no questions
    - She asked me about 6-8 Questions about my application:
:: Spell my name, any other names used (I have other past names).
:: How many times I was away from the US (I said 14 but it was 15 because I recently went to Canada like 2 weeks ago but I forgot about it, no offense to the Canadians lol). So she said - maybe it was 14? you went to Canada it seems? I was like oh yes, It is 14, sorry I forgot about the Canadian trip since it was after the application! She was totally cool with it and chuckled.
:: She asked my place of employment, asked my marital status (I am divorced from the US Citizen I was granted the K-1 with and green card with. I am applying on the 5yr rule though)
:: She asked how many times I was married, who I was married to
:: If my parents are/were US Citizens

    - She then asked to tell me if I am going to support the US, be ready to serve the US Military, if called, etc. etc.

She then said she is recommending my case for approval, because she has no further questions or concerns (she didn't ask me for the latest Tax Return, which I brought with me).
Then I read over the Oath, acknowledged it, and signed it (on the iPad).
She then printed out the paper (remotely, to the printer that was in front of me), but it didn't have my name on it LOL, but had someone else's name (which I told her).
She then printed the "right paper", but I now understand there were pages missing.

She said the oath ceremony is 1 week from this Saturday. So next Saturday, Jul 30. Thanked me, and I was escorted out of the room, by another person.
Here is the deal: later today, I open my USCIS to see if I have any updates, and it does have a letter of "Case approved, Oath ceremony has been scheduled" but the date is NOT next Saturday, Jul 30... but August 25, 2022... (which is more than a month away). I have no issues waiting, but I wanted to make sure I knew which information was correct so I called the USCIS Line today, got to the representative and she confirmed I should go by what the letter says. She said probably by the time your interview was over - the July 28th date got booked up, so they bumped you to the next one. Sad, but hey its okay. I AM APPROVED!!

Hey I applied Feb, 2022 and on June 13th They issued me an invitation to the interview (that I received by mail like 13 days later, thanks USPS). So keep checking your online account, not like daily but at least every few days.

I applied based on the 5 year rule.

My interview is next week at the field office in Halethorpe. I will certainly put all the details here after the interview!

I would definitely recommend studying the questions already now, little by little

Got a notification that my interview was scheduled! No notice in the mail yet, but they uploaded the PDF in the MyUSCIS portal and it says my interview is in Chicago on August 10.
    Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly!
