  1. Looks like recommendations mostly go out on tuesdays or wednesdays.
  2. Right there with you at 15 months in 4 days 😢 my lawyer says cases averaging at 17-24 months at DoS now. Like, what’s the point at this rate? This is almost then making it not a feasible way to try to get a hardship waiver without actually removing it.
  3. New recommendation on a case (not mine) from January 2022. While most of the rest pending from August, September and October 2021. Definitely they're not going chronologically.
  4. I second this. Through the ECFMG (oasis portal) when you're renewing the J-1, there is a question/tick box that asks if you ever applied for a waiver, and where in the waiver process it is. I applied for a new J-1 renewal while my waiver was pending at the DoS and got it approved.
  5. If your HHS waiver gets approved, your hardship case is thrown out of the window. Essentially. So only pull the HHS or other waiver trigger if you think there is no hope in hardship.
