They go by a set schedule usually right? So if they have created a case number for you, I imagine it would be sent out at the next timing?

Tokyo is the embassy for us. So far no email from them nor NVC to be honest (we got case number through an inquiry by email). Just in case I sent an email to ask that they update our email addresses and to give us invoice ID. so it would be an email from embassy to both or just the beneficiary?

Is the P3 easy to do? It seems like many people are sending back really quickly. 😆

I think mine was created Monday or some time last week. So just made it before the timed schedule

Thanks everyone for all the info about the shipping schedule! Our case is also now in transit too after finding out about case number yesterday. About 62 days after NOA2 I suppose now is to wait for the official letter and packet??

My future father in law to be honest is quite sick. I am scared I won’t be able to get married in time so he can see our wedding and celebrate in the US. Still waiting for visa to be sent to embassy and 60 days since NOA2 Are there things I can do to push for things to move quicker? Or really no point right now?

This is what I got too 2-3 weeks ago! But as I mentioned a few days back, a response I got from them about something else was saying it didn’t arrive there. So shrugs I choose to believe in positive news!

So after inquiring to have my email address updated, now they tell me they don’t have record they received my petition, and told me to do the whole inquiry again. i will choose to believe the initial response that they did get it lol

Sorry another question, is it still standard to use AskNVC to ask to update email addresses for myself and my fiancé? I saw this in a 2020 guide someone made but not sure…

Thank you!!! It certainly is exciting. I will be patient. Is that how it works with the consulate and timing of this portion of the process? That seems interesting how they can coordinate across 3 departments… While I’m not sure when they received my case, I assume it will be a bit while longer with the dates on the NVC site. Hope everyone hear soon!

So NVCResearch told me they got my petition and waiting for entry into the system. What have we been seeing for TAT from arrival at NVC to welcome letter? (Or should I be calling to try to get a case number…)

I understand the frustration, but asylum seekers do not get to vote. Not even permanent residents can. Let’s not label a group of people as villains to make this them vs us situation. I am sure there are people that think K1 visa couples are trying to commit fraud and take job opportunities from “real Americans.” If we want to express our frustration, direct at the people actually involved in making the decisions.

I’m in the same boat as this group so I understand the frustration. I’ve accepted that it’s going to take at least 3 months. So seeing all these discussions about why or whether it is 2, 3, or 6 months seem to only add to the stress you all may be feeling? let’s be happy we got our NOA2 and go enjoy life for another 1-2 months before we freak out again 😊

Thanks for the updates! It’s really interesting how they process so randomly. A later range than mine already has more approvals. Hope all the cases get processed real soon!
