From what I've seen here is that most who applied online received an almost instant message that biometrics will get reused. The ones who had to go to do biometrics got an appointment notice about a week after filing. It's been a month now and I haven't heard either. I know that it's not long in the greater picture. I'm not complaining, just looking for experience. 
 
Anybody else had to wait longer to hear something about biometrics? How long did it take?

I wanted to put an update for future readers. I ended up filing for reenty permit when I was in the states for two weeks. I just had to make sure that the packet I filed was received before I left the country so I filed as soon as I got there. By the time I left the case had been received.

I ended up having to fly back for my biometrics appointment on short notice and only stayed for three days which was tiring but it all worked out. 

I did end up filing for naturalization but this way I had plenty of time and no stress and was able to do it right without worrying.

Still nothing about biometric 🤔

Looks like filing naturalization isn’t an option immediately, as I would lose my current passport. So I have to file with Germany first to ask for special permission for dual citizenship which will take between 12-18 months according to the internet. 
 
Only option seems to be Reentry permit but I’m never in the states longer than two weeks and my husband can’t be in the states for more than 30 days out of the year or he’ll loose his special tax exemption status. 
 
does anyone know if I can send in my Reentry permit packet and then leave temporarily before coming back for biometrics? 
 
I’m trying to figure out exactly what I’ll have to do to make sure I do things right. I’d hate to spend 700$ on an application only for it to be denied because I traveled while it’s pending. 

I think perhaps that refers to contract term at the time of application…since their processing time is wildly inconsistent. 
I think it’s worth applying for N-400 NOW..the base should have a great deal of support on this issue. Give it a shot

But you also did a CR1 visa or a K1?
 
All of that can be handled at the consulate. Your friend don't need to worry about it. Or they can message the IV unit if they want to make sure.

Holy moly, we also woke up this morning to an email that said our interview has been scheduled for Jan 6th, 2023. We can hardly believe it. Thank you all for your positivity and encouragement. @Caro1 wow a big congratulations to you as well. What a splendid strike of fortune that we both got our interview dates scheduled! we just got our Interview Letter from NVC 10 minutes ago! 
we actually did send an inquiry to nvc yesterday, but that probably didn’t have anything to do with getting the IL. 
my Interview will be January 5 2023

That is so strange! I got DQ only a week before you and I’m already done with my interview and have my visa.

Absolutely. I do think they'll receive their IL soon. Also, it was very wise of them to transfer to Frankfurt instead of Warsaw.

Yes, the priority is Ukrainians > Germans > Russians from the many timelines I've seen.
 
US Embassy Islamabad is also prioritising Afghan beneficiaries over Pakistani beneficiaries because of the crisis.

Agree! Sounds like you’re in a different line. They’re definitely trying to get the Ukrainians through quickly but they probably have such a huge workload that they can’t get through that. 
 
when I went to my interview there were two windows for Germans and three windows for Ukrainians. 

As far as I know, if the beneficiary lives in Russia, the case starts with MOS, even if it gets transferred.
