    😂 You would be amongst that lot too! We look at this way... at least we're not in the beginning stages anymore. Somebody literally said to me last night... don't worry, your spouse will be here in 6 months! I surely hope so.. that's right around his birthday.. And we wait.

    Today marks 1 year since DQ. Still suffering with this wait time but what else can you do? I try to stay busy and release A LOT at the gym. Has anyone received any new ILs lately?

    Hey! I'm in the same boat as you. Nov 2023 makes 1 year for us too. I was trying to make sense of the CR1s also... I'm like how are these being processed before those waiting at least a year just to receive the letter? Oh well.. I'm just hopeful we all that have been painfully waiting to hear some good news soon!! I'll be checking back..

    I'm not in any whatsapp group chats..I tried ombre before but the communication is too much for me and extremely confusing. I get periodic updates from a Facebook group and I log on to the website that gives monthly reports for all embassies. I have not been checking as often as life is very busy for me supporting 2 families solo. We are approaching 1 year from DQ this coming November. I'm just continuing to be patient for us to receive our IR1 IL. I come here to also check periodically for updates from this thread.

    I do wish others in different categories would create their own threads because we are "alerted" each and every time someone posts on this thread I initiated for CR1/IR1 in Nairobi. It is frustrating and raises stress levels because those of us who are already married to our spouses and haven't seen them in years, are suffering big time with these time frames. K1 and IR1 are completely different altogether. Thank you.

    I too, am in the US just immigrating my husband from Uganda. They have to interview in Kenya. DQd Nov 2022 so I'm not looking to hear anything until sometime next year according to how these interviews are being scheduled 17 months out. Of course we remain Hopetimistic! I just want to hear some good news to help keep the hope alive 🙏🏽

    Can you please elaborate a little further regarding your son? Does the son live with you or him and what's the age? Are they both migrating or just one? I'm a little confused.. I surely hope you get good news this week after adjusting what they want you to adjust.

    Question for you? Since being DQd Feb 2022, did you need to resubmit the affidavit of support for the current year or any other paperwork, prior to the interview?

    My spouse is in Uganda but has to interview in Kenya. Tickets prices from Uganda have always been at least $1200 one way when I can get a round trip ticket for the same price.. go figure. I can't wait to hear that your spouse will be joining you soon!

    All will be good! Where will your spouses be joining you? I'm a USC so my husband will be immigrating to the US whenever it's our time..

    A year and 3 months... Nairobi please get better. In March 2023 there were approx 25 IR1 and IR2 issued from Nairobi embassy.. April's numbers aren't posted yet but this number has been pretty consistent.. DO BETTER. We're out here extremely depressed, at least I am.
