  1. I’m in the same boat but I’m waiting on them to send my husband here to the US. This is crazy. I’ve been supporting 2 families for 3 years now. We have surpassed the 16th month mark and have no idea when we will receive our IL. I haven’t heard anything…
  2. Hi. I saw this post on my FB chat I belong to.. to be honest I’m not sure how to calculate any of this. I wish there was some sort of way.. I wish they could’ve kept up the same pace..
  3. I totally agree. I’ve been down all day with a migraine because of this.. this Friday makes 16 months exactly for me and the embassy seems to have slowed down. I haven’t heard anyone report for October 2022 DQ yet.. they are trying to drive us insane is what it seems..
  4. Nairobi is working!! Keep this pace up please and thank you. I’m looking forward to hearing something soon!! Cmon I NEED MY HUSBAND!!
  5. Yea nothing as of yet. I do check it almost every week to see if anything has changed… it’s still at NVC. The middle of March will be 16 months exactly so keeping fingers crossed and faith high 🙏🏽
  6. And by the way, today is my 3rd year wedding anniversary ✨️✨️✨️ Congrats to everyone who will be receiving ILs this month in advance!
  7. This is exactly what I stated earlier. I transferred my case thru NVC at the very beginning stages when I noticed it stated it was in Kampala from previous research. I wish you a speedy process and hope all Ugandans seeking an immigrant visa can become more aware of the process.
  8. Thanks. I am IR1 so definitely a different process. We have to go thru consular processing but should be receiving our ILs very soon! Best of luck to those who have a different process!
  9. When our case initially arrived at NVC it was under KMP also but I had them change it to Nairobi NRB because we’re already married and I knew from research that immigrant visas were not processed in Kampala for Ugandans but because he had visited the embassy prior to getting married trying to get a visitor visa, it automatically assigned Kampala and I was instructed that only k-1 visas were processed in Kampala. I instructed NVC to change the embassy early on as I didn’t want any issues down the road. Maybe Kampala changed its processes? I’m not sure but I would definitely inquire as I thought K-1 are processed faster in Uganda because this is a non immigrant visa.
  10. To my understanding Kampala processes non immigrant visas, which is the K-1 category. Only immigrant visas are processed in Nairobi unless something has recently changed.
  11. Thank you for this information. So if I’m correct, since my spouse is Ugandan and hasn’t ever left Uganda since his last PCC submitted July 2022 he won’t need a new PCC? btw thank you very much for sharing part of your journey with the rest of us awaiting our turn
  12. So basically the PCC is only valid for 6 months for the embassy correct? They’re the ones who matter the most.
  13. My husband is in Uganda so I will definitely ask him how long it’s currently taking. Back in 2022 it only took 2 weeks turn around time but thank you for the heads up!
  14. To my understanding its normal practice that PCCs are only valid for 6 months, so yes, you will need to get clearance to reflect back on the last 6 months to a year. I’ve already advised my spouse that we will get his done before getting the IL. I believe the petitioner will need to resubmit another Affidavit of Support with tax transcripts too, which will be for me to do.
  15. Thanks Wagzy I hear you! I definitely hope to hear before then.. I'm just trying not to get too excited because I've disappointed myself so much in the past. I have been checking CEAC every other day since you mentioned it. I'm smiling right now because OUR TIME is finally arriving Thanks for reminding me ..
  16. I’m so thrilled to hear you guys getting your ILs.. it’s making me feel more excited now! I should hear something by the end of March hopefully!! I look forward to seeing more interviews scheduled!
  17. Her timeline says Aug 22, 2022. There’s an option to click on Timeline and if the recipient has filled out the info, you will see the dates in question.
  18. I forgot to ask.. is your family in Kenya or will need to travel there to interview? When is the date that you scheduled? For all others on this thread who have received ILs and went through to visa in hand for travel, would you mind sharing your time lines and processes your experiences? TIA
  19. Yaaay!! Thanks everyone for reporting such great and excellent news!! We are FINALLY reuniting with our loved ones.. I’m trying not to get too excited until I actually receive it! I’m SOOO happy for you ALL!!
  20. Oh I see thank you.. so I can know before receiving the email. I'm DQd Nov 15, 2022. Omg I can't wait to touch and hug my spouse forever. It's happening for all of us who have been in this long waiting journey to happiness.
  21. And YOU TOO!! I have not logged in recently but I will begin to.. but don't they email you?
  22. Currently it’s about 16-17 months from what I’ve heard last according to this thread.
