@metehanHad you gotten RFE? which seviice center was you case at?  I have gotten RFEwhat speciality are you? I am Pathologist with 2 fellowships. I do not have very great research, have many posters and abstracts but few real articles. They have sent an RFEobjecting on everything. Even the contract and salary.

    Sorry I wasn't around for a while.

I got a RFE and got denied shortly after. It was Vermont. The attorney was also shocked because my case was strong. I added more letters and refiling this week. Hope it will work this time.

  2. Hello guys, I have a question regarding the timeline. My lawyer submitted all the documents at the same time to both USCIS and DOS. USCIS sent receipt notice in October 2022, but DOS says they got their stuff in Feb 2023. It's still pending in USCIS so obviously there is no I-612 yet.

My question is, I see that DOS shows in all cases as if they have received the I-612 like at the same day, or a few days later, maybe a few months. Is this what they always do? Like if my case hopefully gets forwarded to DOS in the next few months, will it be listed around the same date when they got my other stuff? I'm confused .

    Thank you all!

Hi guys i am new here. Me and my husband both are J1 ECFMG physicians. We applied for hardship on basis of our usa born son in 4/2022. 11/2022 is when dos received i612/i613 from uscis. I know there is a long wait ahead but our J1 visa expires in June 2023. We were thinking one of us can sign a waiver job while the other one can wait for hardship to process? My question is if my husbands signs a job and gets another waiver approved i am sure his hardship application will be cancelled but will it affect mine?

I have a diff case number and everything but we applied together and mentioned each other in our application

Hello. this problem also applies to me. I am a J1 physician too and have submitted hardship waiver very recently. I was planning to apply for an O visa for next year when I find a job, but all of the places that I interview are very interested in getting a HHS waiver with a H1 visa. it''s actually easier than collecting all the letters and everything for O visa, but I don't want that waiver application to effect the hardship waiver. What exactly did your lawyer say?

    hello guys!

My FR was approved on 3/30 on the system, but I haven't received anything in the mail yet. it's been 26 days. I see in forum that most of the applicants receive a notice in mail latest in a week. I'm wondering if this is normal or I should be worried...I contacted USCIS bit was unsuccessful to get a receipt number as well.

    Thank you all!

    UPDATE

I was able to get my I-612 number today after FR on 3/30.

The status shows this thing, I don't know what that means - received from another office. But seems like it's working.

The problem is; USCIS agent told me that they have an out of country address on the system where they sent the notice via mail. It seems like DoS made a mistake and forwarded my home country address, even though I put a US address in the application and checked it as my preferred contact address. This is unfortunate and probably the reason why I haven't received the DoS letter yet.

I'm trying to fix this issue. Any input will be much appreciated

Note: Keep on working on Emma. It pays at the end.
