  1. Tried multiple senators. All failed to move dos despite best tries. DOS copying pasting same replies from last year.
  2. I was reading DOS email reply to my 20 months old case that says it's first in first out. Of course it's not that how it works.
  3. I think I will make a new record. I am from March 2022 at DOS. 🤭
  4. Congratulations. I am from March 2022. I hope they start working on those from 2022.
  5. Even considering the absurd delays in document uploads, electronic transmisttal, your case has already completed its normal processing time.
  6. It can take a week to as long as 10months (I know one case) just to upload the I-612/I-613 on their website. Then it can take 20-24 months or even more to get a decision. Do plan some backup as this process is highly unpredictable.
  7. And then they would have already completed 2 years in home country or keep suffering for two years here in US. Even if DOS post correct timelines on it's website will help many suffering families for deciding a proper strategy.
  8. COVID passed long ago but still pouring its wrath on some (hardship-based) applicants.
  9. Thanks for posting. Keep posting these updates. I am also in 20th month. Still pending.
  10. Much more NOC waivers are applied than hardship waivers but DOS has enough time to process them all. NO COVID BACKLOG. If they don't want to give hardship waivers, they should end this category. Why waste people money, time, life on a process that has no definite path, no timeline. OR Deny hardship applications within processing time posted on their website.
  11. Sad to hear another sad story. And for all the time you can't even work and have to pay for the USCIS filing fee too and in the end still have to leave. No objections, iga's etc are getting decisions in 4-6 months. Worst part: J-hardship waiver doesn't allow you to stay in US or concurrently file it with i-485 like the i-601 hardship waiver.
  12. That explains well the ongoing crises for hardship cases (these cases only lead to an increased hardship along the process). At this stage, the hardship waiver is of no use as many have already fulfilled or will fulfill the two-years requirement in a few months by going home due to delayed decisions. The only thing an applicant gets in this black-box process (no seniority, no timeline) is everyday of suffering, losing job & opportunities by keeping false hopes with the system. The only way to end miseries of U.S. citizens facing hardship is by ending the hardship J-waiver categrory so that people can plan better for their loved ones facing extreme hardship.
  13. I agree. Hardship cases are almost going above 20 months with DOS for some applicants (there is no specific pattern, some earlier some very very late). If we see the whole process, it's taking 3 years now which finishes the purpose of this waiver. No objection based are still fast. Saw some cases filed in June 2023 and got decisions now.
  14. That person forms (I-612/I-613) were uploaded by DOS after two years. Maybe they lost it somewhere.
  15. Anyone pending with DOS since March 2022 or before? I think I am the only one left with 19th month at DOS.
  16. Saw this one today. It doesn't show the date of recommendation, but it was pending till last week.
  17. Hardship: There are many hardship cases where applicants have PhD too. From any aspect, it's hard to understand what DoS wants to achieve. At least it's clear, it's not Covid, it's something else.
  18. Hardship is one among the five waiver categories. The rest categories also break their promise and their reason is primarily their job (except persecution). Incase of hardship, their is a US citizen involved (with actual hardship once it crosses the USCIS stage). This punsihment is only for hardship category and especially for the US citizens. Doesn't make any sense.
  19. Congratulations. Unfortuntaley, hardship waiver has lost its purpose at all. They should end this category to avoid wasting people's time and lives. I am also at 18th month at DoS, but still it hasn't gone for sponsor views, so your decision was still earlier than some of us.
