Is there some way the government can view submitted applications by SSN? I know I shouldn't put yes on online applications for permitted to work until it is technically in hand. But, by the time the interview processes are over, we would receive it in the mail. The i-765 employment authorization was approved, we are waiting on the EAD to be mailed. Just trying to see if I can skip one redundancy... (They could instantly email the EAD as soon as the i-765 is approved if they wanted )

Hello, Here is my i-864 with personal information replaced. My fiance came on a K1 visa, I make 55,000 a year with our household of 2, and received a RFE so I'm trying to do it right this time! If someone could please review my i-864 PDF and evidence that would be awesome! 😄 (personal information was replaced with placeholders but things like what to check, household size, etc. are what worry me as I did something wrong last time). The RFE I received did not include specifics so I am just trying to redo it right. Evidence List: i-864 (attached for review) Passport Bio Page of Sponsor 2023 Tax Return Transcript 6 Months of Paystubs Letter from Employer RFE Letter I appreciate the help! Filled out I-864 for VisaJourney Review.pdf

Hello, Should I include self-employment income or will that complicate things. I received an RFE so maybe simplifying things will help my case. For "my current inidividual annual income is" I could just put my w-2 salary instead of an estimated self-employment income. I would make enough to not worry about the poverty requirements with my regular w-2 salaried job. Thanks!

Hello, I have a W-2 Salaried job and some self-employment income. The I-864 instructions contradict as it says not to include the form 1099 if you include a transcript, but then the checklist says you need to "include a copy of each and every Form 1099". Which one is it? If you provide a photocopy of your Federal individual income tax returns, you must include a copy of each and every Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your returns. Do not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your Federal individual income tax returns rather than a photocopy unless you filed a joint income tax return with your spouse and are qualifying using only your income. The following items must be submitted with Form I-864: For ALL sponsors: A copy of your individual Federal income tax return, including W-2s for the most recent tax year, or a statement and/or evidence describing why you were not required to file. Also include a copy of each and every Form 1099, Schedule, and any other evidence of reported income. If 1099s are needed since I have self employment income, do I use the wage and income transcripts? Those include all 1099s. Thanks for the help! 😄

Hey, I received a RFE on the i-864 and I have no idea what it could be for. Is this letter typical of a certain type of problem that needs evidence? If I called could they give me specifics? I am above 125% of the federal income limit, I thought I filled it out correctly, I thought I put all the required documentation. I can redo it all I just wish I had some sort of direction so I don’t repeat the same mistake. I can double check everything but don’t know where the error is. Thank you

Hello, I am seeking help for the next steps as I did the fees incorrectly and got rejected for the I-765 Work Authorization and I-131 Travel Document. I only did 1 G1450 Payment for $1,440. My I-485 Permanent Residence Application seems to be fine as they scheduled a biometrics appointment. Do I do one G1450 Payment for the I-765 Work Authorization and I-131 Travel Document or 2 separate G1450s? Also, what are the correct amounts? Is it considered to be filed together now or will I have to pay more? Also, is there anything on the forms I need to fill out differently now? She came on a k1 visa and we got married 2 months ago. Thanks a ton for your help!

I-485 No Receipt Yet
A031 replied to A031's topic in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Gotcha, so I guess other users are also reporting this for the Chicago lockbox then? -
Hello, My I-485 packet was delivered 2 weeks ago and I opted in for the notification via email when it was received. I still have not received a notification of receipt. How much longer should I wait before sending it in again? At this point my fiance's k1 visa has expired, we did get married within the 90 days though. Thanks for the help.

Adjustment of Status Tips for K1 Fiance Visa Holders
A031 commented on Captain Ewok's guide in Guides
Hey, Form I-944 has quite a bit of supporting documents that go with it depending on your situation, be sure to read the instructions for this form carefully. Many people have gotten a RFE for this form so be sure to pay CLOSE attention when filing it out. When in doubt ask questions on the forums. This should be updated with a strikehtrough through it since I-944 is not longer required. -
Hello, Is my soon to be wife able to use sportsbooks? I matched bet (promos, both side errors. etc.) so it is always profitable and I was wondering if this would be considered "work" for her and disqualify her from further citizenship proceedings. Additionally, she does not have a credit card or bank account yet and I wonder how we go about getting those since she is a non-citizen. Thanks for the help!

Hello, I was wondering if the 90 days to get married once my fiancé enters the US also has to be within the 6 months of the medical report or visa? Basically if it is 6 months+90 days or just getting married within 6 months. There are just some things needed to be done first for anyone wondering. Thanks for the help!

Hello, We will have our interview in October, 5.5 months from when we had our medical exam. The medical exam took place in Ankara, Turkey. I know the TB one would not apply since she does not have Tuberculosis and I assume it would be the no apparent defect. Also, do we have to do another medical exam before she travels to the U.S. and get her updated vaccinations again (she took them in the early spring)

Ankara, TR No Interview Dates Available
A031 replied to A031's topic in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
I've been checking but I have not been lucky yet. It's still the same message every time I check. -
I recommend looking at YouTube and searching "k1 visa packet" they will show you each part you need to include in your petition. Along with this, check the uscis website and a few other visa websites and include everything they ask for, and what is recommended to have overwhelming evidence. Also, when filling out the documents try to be thorough and look up any part you do not understand. As others have pointed out the CR1 may be a better option now, when I first applied 2 years ago it seemed as if K1 was slightly better with handling Covid.

Should i keep my expired passport
A031 replied to trey785's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I would recommend keeping it, better safe than sorry and Turkey reviews documents according to its standards. With only my new U.S. driver's license 5/6 car rental places would not accept it as it did not show the original date I got it. You do not want to lose any evidence so I recommend photocopying it if they don't let you keep it like Dashinka said. -
Hey, I heard that the original letter of intent was needed for the K1 Visa interview since the petition would be expired by this time. My fiance lives in Turkey, am I able to send a digital copy or do I have to mail a letter of intent with my physical signature? (Still waiting to get an interview date but want to be fully prepared). Thanks!

Still no update for interview slots, approaching the 2 year anniversary of applying for the k1 visa... Any advice would be appreciated. I know some people have gotten interviews, which times they usually release slots or anything else would be great to know for snagging an interview slot! -

What does "frozen out for a time" look like specifically? It has always looked like the picture and said the same thing regardless of whether we check every 5 minutes or once in a while. We travel a few times a year to new countries when her school is on break. Does this cause an issue? I have not heard of it being a problem before. If she has no intention of finishing school is there a benefit? Because she has a decent amount of time on her residency left and she could be doing internships/training for a career instead. Yes, she got those forms. Thanks for the help! -

Yeah, we check it constantly. I remember reading you comment about it. My fiancé also is not a Turkish citizen, she is from Morocco attending school in Turkey. I've seen some people post on here about not being able to get an appointment and then a few weeks later they post that either they have it or are asking interview questions.
