  1. So we got married and filed the AOS packet before the 90 days was up. But I was wondering how we prove he's allowed to be here when the K1 visa technically had an expiration date after the 90 days. Is the paperwork stating that we filed our AOS forms sufficient? A social security card? Before the 90 days was up we'd gone to the dmv for him to take his permit test (he didn't drive in his country), and the woman was saying basically it would only be good until the date on our K1 visa, and after that he can't use it, for the permit and just an ID, but then said she was unsure. We didn't end up getting it that day since we needed a form from the eye doctor, but I'm unsure what to do. She'd told us to come back with all our forms and maybe it would be all fine, but we haven't yet since I'm worried about it being a big issue that the k1 visa 90 days is past. I believe we've done everything correctly, but I don't know how to prove it. Has anyone else ran into this problem?
  2. Hello! We're currently working on our I-485 form and ran into a few things that stumped us. We're adjusting status from the K1 visa. (Part 1, #25): The question says "When I last arrived in the United States, I,". I was guessing we mark 25.a. where it states he was inspected and admitted into the US, but I wasn't sure what to write in the box under that. I was thinking either K1 or fiancé, or is there something specific we're supposed to put there? (Part 1, #27): In that same section, #27 is asking what his current immigration status is. Would that just be K1 visa as well? We’re now married so not sure what to put there. (Part 2, #3-4): How/where do you find your receipt number and priority date of underlying petition? (Part 8, #61) I read a page about what public charge ground of inadmissibility was, but was having issue figuring this out. Under the k1 visa, is he going to be subject under the public charge ground of inadmissibly in INA section 212 (a) (4)? I do make enough to support him. We were going to fill out the following section regardless just in case, but we were also unsure about our household size. For the support forms I put just us two, but we do live with my parents. We're financially separate to them but reside in the same home. Do I need to put them as part of our household? It didn't seem right to when their income doesn't impact us. Thank you!
