December 2023 - AOS Filers
Nikobe replied to Eddie101's topic in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
It seems like the case status page is very slow these days. I received my SSN yesterday and was super confused because my EAD was not approved yet. Today, I found out through an uploaded notice to my USCIS account that I was approved one day after biometrics. YAY! Date Filed :2023-12-19 NOA Date :2023-12-21 Bio. Appt. :2024-01-18 Approved Date :2024-01-19 -
I started gathering the supporting files for the interview (police clearance unfortunately takes like 8 weeks in Germany at the moment and I got my birth certificates yesterday) and prepared the information for DS-160. I would recommend you to do the same but not yet submit anything. The prepping helps to bridge the waiting period for me. For Frankfurt, Germany, the process seems to be to wait for the Packet 3 (emailed or mailed to me) in any case after the status switches to "Ready". @Eddie101 do you have other information on the Frankfurt procedure/have you received the Packet 3?

German people...rührt euch!!

Danke euch allen! -
Your NOA2 date is not the same as the date of receipt by NVC. Supposedly, it is taking USCIS 30 days to send the cases to NVC, so your case was likely received around July 14th. NVC is currently working on cases received on July 11th according to their timeframes, so you should receive a CEAC case number soon. We just filed our first NVC inquiry (60 days after NOA2).

You mean whether NVC received the case from USCIS or the NVC (CEAC) number? The latter is highly unlikely but the first NVC receipts could be among us (soon). -
June 2022 K-1 I-129f Filers
Nikobe replied to madmanmike's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
I imagine that they give out piles of applications through which one officer will work. So, it is first in first one on the desk, however, you may be at the bottom of the pile while some other officer gets a new pile of applications (which are then obviously filed later than you). And then there are some inexplicable cases (such as December filers still being on hold), which do not make any sense. All in all, the only thing safe to say that this is a ride to insanity. -

I am a late May filer who got approved shortly after they started June. You're on day 367 and most approvals still take roughly 390 days - so hang in there, it is coming. -

We are in the same range and got worried, too. Yesterday was the first day I started to feel like "well it's gonna be latest July anyways, so it's fine" and then we got approved. -

I got mine at exactly 8 PM CET but I don't think there is a specific time to be honest. -

I have the same issue as a NOA1: May 31-filer, I try to see myself as a June filer but honestly that is really tough to do. -
They started opening cases on May 17. May 17 (5 approvals) and May 18 (10 approvals) were just two ramp-up days. Actual activity has not been seen until May 23 (52 approvals). That is last week. Source is the May spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NMUjX2wtjfAT8p8MesJ1k-ThuO5ddH-rqNd_85GZbbo/edit#gid=677509642 Days seem like weeks for me, too, to be honest.

For your own sanity, please don't pin it down to a week if possible. Most of us should hear from them by end of July. I feel like that is a good thing already considering most of us expected processing to take longer than 14 months.
