  1. It seems like the case status page is very slow these days. I received my SSN yesterday and was super confused because my EAD was not approved yet. Today, I found out through an uploaded notice to my USCIS account that I was approved one day after biometrics. YAY! Date Filed :2023-12-19 NOA Date :2023-12-21 Bio. Appt. :2024-01-18 Approved Date :2024-01-19
  2. I am waiting for the German embassy to send Packet 3, which supposedly they still do in Frankfurt and I am going crazy yet again even though it has been only 10 days since the status changed to "Ready". The continuous waiting experience is so insane.
  3. K1 falls under the non-immigrant visa category as it requires the adjustment of status procedure - this is not the case for immigrant visas. In any case, you're very much intending to immigrate, so you're both correct in some sort. 🤪
  4. I started gathering the supporting files for the interview (police clearance unfortunately takes like 8 weeks in Germany at the moment and I got my birth certificates yesterday) and prepared the information for DS-160. I would recommend you to do the same but not yet submit anything. The prepping helps to bridge the waiting period for me. For Frankfurt, Germany, the process seems to be to wait for the Packet 3 (emailed or mailed to me) in any case after the status switches to "Ready". @Eddie101 do you have other information on the Frankfurt procedure/have you received the Packet 3?
  5. I received an odd response from NVC that just casually slipped my CEAC case number in there and it says that we're "at NVC". Looking forward to the shipment dates next week.
Danke euch allen!
  7. Your NOA2 date is not the same as the date of receipt by NVC. Supposedly, it is taking USCIS 30 days to send the cases to NVC, so your case was likely received around July 14th. NVC is currently working on cases received on July 11th according to their timeframes, so you should receive a CEAC case number soon. We just filed our first NVC inquiry (60 days after NOA2).
  8. Ok, that is interesting. My legal advisor sent me a sample of a different client, which was sent in June. It might be random. So according to your info, the only way to receive a CEAC number is to inquire about case creation?
  9. Out of pure curiosity, what purpose does the NVC inquiry serve? Won't they send a welcome e-mail about the receipt anyways?
  10. You mean whether NVC received the case from USCIS or the NVC (CEAC) number? The latter is highly unlikely but the first NVC receipts could be among us (soon).
  11. I imagine that they give out piles of applications through which one officer will work. So, it is first in first one on the desk, however, you may be at the bottom of the pile while some other officer gets a new pile of applications (which are then obviously filed later than you). And then there are some inexplicable cases (such as December filers still being on hold), which do not make any sense. All in all, the only thing safe to say that this is a ride to insanity.
  12. I am a late May filer who got approved shortly after they started June. You're on day 367 and most approvals still take roughly 390 days - so hang in there, it is coming.
  13. What new timeline? The VJ timeline in the image? It is a lagging indicator, meaning that it is the picture of current receipts by NVC. It is affecting everyone right now but then again you see cases that are sent to NVC way faster (~45 days, mostly European cases as far as I have seen).
