  1. well lets break it down the process. to see whose at fault. according to usps tracking, it was delivered and hand over to a ups store staff(its where my lawyer rent a p.o. box). I went to that ups store location myself and asked questions to the staff on how they process mail for their customers. the staff received mails/package and throw it in unsorted box. then another staff or the same staff would sort it on the same day or another day and put it in their respective owners p.o. box. I think this is where it got lost. my lawyers mail which contain my green card was put in someone else p.o. box by mistake. I put the blame on ups store for this neglect work that they do. I think its the ups store is responsible for this.
  2. I was skeptical about choosing 2.b. The very first sentence says "....issued but never received" which is applies to us. But there is NOTE at bottom if you keep on reading. Which is to never ignore. and that note applies to us. Im so glad about this forums. we can clarify things lawyers wrote. but once a in a while you have a member giving personal comments.
  3. what do you mean its my call. is it not clear to you what the NOTE says?
  4. This is the exact copy of the note per the instructions for item number 2.b. The way I read it is I need to choose 2.a. Am I correct or reading it too deep? NOTE: Do not select this reason for filing if the card was mailed to you at the address you provided, and it was never returned as undeliverable to USCIS. To determine if your card was returned to USCIS, check your case status online at www.uscis.gov/casestatus. You can also call the USCIS National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283. For TTY (deaf or hard of hearing) call: 1-800-767-1833. If the card was not returned as undeliverable to USCIS, then you must file Form I-90 using reason “2.a.” (My previous card has been lost, stolen, or destroyed).
  5. When I was having a conversation about filling the form i-90 with my attorney, I was sizing her up whether she would offer to help. She shows no sign of any of that. Sometimes I dont blame her because I chose the least expensive immigration attorney in my town. So Im going to do it myself. Big thanks to all members here.
  6. My step son has been approved for his green card. The problem is he never received it. UCSIS mailed it to my attorneys P.O. box inside a ups store. Somehow it got lost in there. It was 2 months ago. Only now we found out because my attorney recently made an inquiry to uscis and they gave her a usps tracking number. I says it was delivered to her p.o. box. Im on my own now to file a form I-90. I would like to ask what is the best reason for my case . Is it question #2.a. or #2.b. Reason for Application Section A.
  7. It was June 26, 2024 when USCIS cashed out my cashier check for my K2 aos application for $1440. As of today, still waiting on noa letter in the mail. My stepson is 16 yrs old. Is this a normal waiting time for K2?
  8. I did not list my then fiancée son in her I-864 form. So now he needs his own I-864. In the form, part 2, 1a. His mother name(now my wife). Part 3. 1. No box checked and 3. Box checked correct? Then his name in 4a. Is this how I should fill it out? Son in 16yrs old and is immigrating more than six months after the principal immigrant(his mother).
  9. FYI. my 16 yrs old K2 is traveling alone next month. They went to his local dswd office and was informed that minor travel requirements for him is not needed. I was worried sick about this issue a few months ago because I could not find a post regarding minor traveling alone. My then fiancee now my wife AOS went smooth and it is within the timeframe. She got her green card without us going to an interview process. Thanks to all the information I got from here.
  10. for me my experienced with eva air is when coming back to the US. it is like 8 hrs or something layover wait time.
  11. Hello, anyone here has used japan airlines for a 16 yr old unaccompanied K2 for travel from Philippines to US? Japan airlines has a good one way airfare for June right now.
  12. My then fiancée, is now my wife, her 15 yrs old son is following to join as a K2 visa. We are now starting to process his paperwork. He will be traveling alone out of the country the first time. I was told that he’s going to need a travel clearance from dswd office. He will be turning 16 yrs old in May. His estimated departure date is on June. Can anyone confirm this?
  13. So I turned in my AOS package a few months ago. My local uscis office has ask me for additional evidence to process my form i-485. I understand all the required evidence including pictures of wedding and other events. My question is, is it acceptable to turn in photo albums in black in white? I am choosing to mail my evidence to them instead of downloading to my uscis account. I just dont have a color printer at home and it is more expensive than black and white.
