    Yes, sorry not all of us are experts in this process. Anyhow, it looks like this is information USCIS updated in Aug 2021, so it makes sense it wasnt in the form at the time i filled it out. Thank you all.

    That's the thing, I went back to the I485 form and I can't see anything about the SSN or card. I applied in May 2021.

    Can I still use the number for taxes, job applications,etc even if the card is not updated?

    I was wondering since there was a change of status maybe that number wasnt valid anymore or im not allowed to use it.

    exactly, but that one said it was only valid for work. Now with the GC i dont know if i need to get a new social security card. I check the I485 over and over and I dont see anything regarding the SSN.

    How long after seeing "new card being produced" did she actually get her green card in the mail? This is the first change of status I see after many many months so Im still in disbelief. Thank you!
