  1. Hello everyone! Yesterday I had my interview and I have passes writing reading and civics tests however the decision couldn’t be made. The officer told me I will get the RFE letter with the request to provide joint documents from my previous marriage. The letter says I need to send original 1040s with signatures for the past 5 years (even though I have brought transcripts with me and uploaded it along with application online, but he didn’t take it, said I’d have to mail everything in) My question is - these originals can only be obtained from IRS as a hard copy by mail? Because for that, I will have to submit specific form asking them to provide it to me and it will take 75+ days for them to mail it to me. My RFE letter says I only have until Dec 30th to provide these documents, without any right to extend this time. So with this being said - it looks like it’s impossible to send it to uscis in timely manner?! Very frustrating. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
  2. Almost done ✅ congrats once again, I have my interview next Monday
  3. Congrats! Same day oath or not?
  4. Hi all again, I have a quick question about my upcoming interview: I have gotten my GC through marriage that unfortunately ended, we got divorced 6 months ago. Now, I have applied under 5 year rule on my own. Is it true that oftentimes people are being asked to provide the marriage evidence - taxes, mortgages, bills etc?
  5. Hi guys, quick question - do I need to bring my birth certificate Translated and notarized to the interview? And I assume it has to be original? I only have a copy of it. Thanks
  6. Hi everyone, I have just gotten my interview scheduled for Nov 25, happy to see others getting their interviews scheduled as well, good luck to all of us. Hoped I would have become citizen right on time for the election but I am happy either way, it’s been a long journey for me. Filing date: Jul 24th FO: Long Island NY
  7. Hi all, I logged into my online account and there were no changes to my case expect for the estimated time until case decision. Last week I checked it was 6 months, today it shows 3 months. It’s already been over two months since I’ve submitted my application, hopefully to hear from them soon 🙏
  8. Congratulations! Keep us posted and best of luck!
  9. Yes, I get that, however some people get their interviews before 5 year mark, that’s very confusing because you can’t get naturalized before that point, or you can get the interview but not the oath ceremony? I’ve read stories when people used to get their interviews early and then get denied because “it wasn’t the time” 🤷🏻‍♀️
  10. hi! That is my point as well, I honestly don’t understand how it really works, if we still have to wait to complete 5yr what was the point of filling earlier, however I know people who filed after me, within 90days as well like myself and they have gotten their interview notices already.
  11. Hello! I’ve filed the online on July 23rd, was wondering have you gotten any news yet? Was reading some messages here - people got their interviews scheduled for mid September! Very exciting 🙌
