  1. Today our I-485 was approved! Only took 89 days. Date filed: Jan 10 Biometrics scheduled: Jan 28 RFE: Jan 28 (Tax Return) Biometrics Appointment: Feb 17 RFE: March 28 (Medical) RFE Response delivered: April 3 I-485 Approval: April 9 Dallas FO
  2. We received another RFE for I-693 now. We had only included DS-3025 in the initial filing, I thought it was enough.
  3. It’s been 21 days since our biometrics, I guess we will be in the back seat for EAD. Almost 50% of the IOE09189 cases are approved by now.
  4. Until the tax year ends in April 2023, you are not obligated to present the 2022 tax return. That is unless you have already done your 2022 tax returns, then you should include 2022. We filed on Jan 8, at that time I hadn’t done my returns so I gave 2021. Then we received an RFE and in the response I gave 2022 because I did my returns before the RFE.
  5. Yes they are different. Tax Return is your 1040 form and subsequent pages. Tax Transcript looks more like a list, it can be taken from IRS website. You can find easily by googling. We submitted both.
  6. We also submitted an RFE, it was received on 02/08. Then had our biometrics on 02/17. We are not approved yet either. I’ve seen people getting approved within 1-2 weeks timeframe of the biometrics too, which is still a very good outcome. Here’s to hoping we don’t get left behind.
  7. NVC does not ask you for any documents. After USCIS approval they take like 50-100 days to send your case to the embassy. Only after the embassy receives your case you will need to do some stuff like medical exam, filling I-134, etc.
  8. I don’t think there is any privilage to working with a lawyer when it comes to processing times.
  9. Not yet, but the appointment was on a Friday at 2 pm before the long weekend, so I didn’t really expect anything until the weekend is over
  10. We received the “We have taken an action on your case” email, but no actual update on the system yet.
  11. We had our biometrics today. Status changed to Case Actively Being Reviewed by USCIS. Fingers crossed for fast approval!
  12. Oh okay. Then it’s $1225 + $535.
  13. Are you not adjusting from K1? K1 doesn’t require i-130
  14. I did some research on Reddit and it seemed like responding by digital uploads is a better way to go. So I uploaded the same documents as the physical RFE response to myUSCIS. Status automatically changed to “RFE Response Received”
  15. We refilled a new I-864, and included 2022 Tax Return 1040, IRS Transcript, Employment Letter, 6 months pay stubs and W-2 (2022). Thanks and good luck to you too.
