Thank you @kachab. I do not have confidence with USICS process until I receive my card in hand hence thought to check with you to make sure any follow-ups need to be done sooner rather than later.
-
Hi @kachab Just want to clarify: The status of the receipt number being shown as 'Card being produced' for both me and my wife but sitting with same status for close to two weeks now. Guess you shared your experience sometime back stating that you had to submit forms online and did multiple follow-ups with USCIS to obtain your card. The follow-ups happened after the status was updated to 'Card being produced' Or your status was not updated at all after 90 days? Thanks for your time and help!
-
Hi, Anybody received Card in the past couple of months? Can you please share your timeline in that case? Thanks!
-
Thank you @kachab. for sharing the link/phone number and for sharing your experience. Once again, thanks for your quick response. Noted the details.
-
Thank you. If you have any phone number to reach out to USCIS to follow-up on green card production, please share it. Just wanted to have it perhaps if the process gets extended beyond 90 days. The blog shared by you (GC after arrival) is informative and am keeping an eye on it.

Hi @ACC24 I believe your ask was around documents. Other than Birth certificate, Police certificate, Employment letter, Marriage Certificate & 2 Photos - no other documents asked. As far as interview question goes, #1 Where do you live in US? #2 Other than US/Canada, Have you travelled any other country? #3 Other than TN visa, Did you work on any other visa in the US? #4 US visa refused or deported from US in the past? Eventually she said based on my employment, she is approving my visa. Hope this helps! Only hiccup on the interview day was, the elevator broke so they made everyone to wait outside for about 45 mins and it was terribly cold on that day. Good luck!

Hi @kachab All went well at the border and they took my fingerprint. They didn't cancel my TN and I was told GC trumps TN. Estimated time to get printed card 90 days. Thank you!
-
@ACC24 I saw your post in my inbox (cell phone) last night but when tried to locate it in the blog this AM couldn't find it. I tried to respond to your msg last night from my cell phone but the blog didn't allow me to do so for some reason. I know your ask but in a bit of rush now. Will be reaching Atlanta Sunday night and will respond to your msg by Tuesday EOD. Good luck with your prep for March 27th.

thank you @kachab as always for your timely response. Yes, I will bring this up if they do not ask for one with CBP office. Keep you posted.
-
@kachab You have stated "USICS should have my fingerprints on file" as one of the item for green card printing. Is this something happened at the time of interview you were referring to (Montreal Consulate will share it with USICS) or Are you referring to the fingerprinting when you cross the border (CBP office will transfer it to USCIS)? Please clarify if you happen to see this msg and preferably before 5AM Montreal time tomorrow(2/25). Thank you!

Thank you! Thank you. Yes, They updated my address and reflected in the Immigration summary sheet attached to the packet.

Thank you!

My visa was issued today and collected my passport/information packet from the consulate right after the interview. Thank you all for all your help in this forum. @kachab Special thanks to you for all your help/valuable and timely inputs. The officer advised me to pick up my visa/packet today at the Consulate so that I can drive back to US and no need to wait for the courier to collect my passport to extend my stay in Montreal so picked them up today and driving back to US tomorrow.
-
Thanks for checking. Just stepped in. The interview went well and the visa was issued. The officer who interviewed me asked to collect my Passport/Visa/Information packet today at the consulate (no need to wait for the courier) since I live in US and they called me around 12:30 pm when I was at the resturant in Montreal downtown to collect my passport/packet. I went to the Consulate at 1PM and collected my passport /packets for me and my wife from the Officer. I was heading back to US tomorrow crossing Port Champlin boader.
-
Sorry to hear that @farzady. Hope it will get sorted out soon and you will cross the line soon.
-
You are correct, the number plays a role but good that you brought it up. Maybe down the line when we go for Citizenship / try to get SSN benefits, the current note on the SSN card may pose an issue.
-
I just looked at my SSN card after saw your message. Yes there is a note which says 'Only for Work Authorization with INS'. I got my SSN long back and didn't observe this so far. Thanks again. I didn't opt for SSN in DS260. Looks like I have to go to local SSN office with stamp on the passport to get this note removed and get the new one. Since the number stays the same, Hope I can continue to work for my current employer in the US with no disruption. Not sure have to update my HR team in this aspect once I obtain my new SSN card.
-
Thank you so much @kachabfor taking your time out and sharing the details. Noted them. It helps immensely. Yes, I drove from GA to Montreal and will drive back to US once I get the Passport/Welcome Packet. I have SSN but have to apply for my wife at the local SSN office if we run into any issues in-line with what you stated. Not an issue if it's not automatically triggered. I will make sure three items you called out for the green card to be printed. Fingers Crossed! Once again, Thank you!
-
Thanks @kachab. Couple of more questions: #1 Can I give change of address during the interview? Or Is this something can be done when I cross the border with Welcome packet? The address provided in DS260 is no longer valid and I have to update the address. Tried with NVC when my case with them but no luck. #2 I spoke with US border office at Port Champlin to confirm they process Immigrant visa with Welcome packet and the response was affirmative but the person who picked up the phone said they review and approve/disapprove based on their review. Any possibility of getting disapproved at the border? This is a hypothetical question and no one can predict US immigration and in particular at the border but wanted to know your experience. So far I was thinking the border officials job was to review the Welcome letter and ensure all information is correct and send the details out to agency who print the card? Thanks for your time and help!

Hi @kachab May I know how many days or weeks it took for you to collect your passport from Montreal post office after your interview date? Please let me know when you get a chance to see this. Thank you!

Cool

Medicals submitted?
-
Awesome. Good luck!
-
Ok, Understood. Hope this gets resolved in the coming week so that you should be good for 2/24. Let me know when you get udpates.
-
Looks to me you have nothing to worry. Since your last update data being shown as Feb 10, I believe the Consulate received your medical results and updated your case. Otherwise you last update date would have been the date you received your interview letter. I strongly feel you should be good for 2/24. Maybe confirmation email from Consulate in this regard would help.
