  1. Our situation is almost identical. We’re in Montgomery and have to drive to Birmingham.
  2. Well that’s a relief, I’ll be calling on Monday. I even noticed the stamp on the envelope was February 26th and sent first class from Missouri to Alabama. There’s no way we would have received it on time, especially when our mail usually runs late in the evening.
  3. I received the letter with my biometrics appointment in the mail today(and I have checked every single day). The only problem is the appointment was set for February 28th, 2024 and now it sounds like our visa could be denied for abandonment? This is complete insanity. The automated system is saying that it might not even be able to be rescheduled since the appointment date has already passed. Any tips?
  4. Do you have to file for adjustment of status before the end of the 90 day period? Me and my wife are ready to file the I-485 but we’ve had a lot of expenses getting married and it’s a slow time of the year for my work. This is making it difficult to pay the filing fee at the moment. Her 90 days is over on February 3rd. I’ve heard some people say that it makes no difference as long as we’re married. And others say that some people have been deported for not filing or that it can make the adjustment of status more difficult.
  5. My actual NOA2 date was April 28th but I didn’t find out about the approval until May 2nd and I just received the email from NVC stating that they had received my petition and are in the process of creating my case number. I should probably be in the April group but I posted in the May group originally because that’s when I got the notification from the CaseTracker app.
  6. It’s been a little over 30 days since I received my NOA2 so I’m going to contact the NVC for the first time. I’ve heard different opinions. Is the NVC only responding to inquiries through email or is it possible to speak to someone on the phone?
  7. Noa1: March 25th, 2022 Noa2: May 1st, 2022 What exactly is the next step? Do we just wait until we receive a case number from the NVC or is it pretty much required to make inquiries after a certain amount of time?
  8. I checked the Case Tracker app before going to sleep last night. Just the usual refresh that I did 10 times each day and then it actually changed to “Approved” with stars in the background. I-129 F- Notice Date- March 25th, 2022 I-129 F- Approval- May 1st, 2023 Group- 65500
  9. Oh I see! I’m in the central time zone so I guess I’ll wait until around 7:30pm to do the daily scan of my group on case tracker. I’ve been following your posts and I wish you luck with getting approved soon!
  10. The California processing center closes at 4pm ET? I was thinking they probably didn’t close until around 8pm ET.
  11. Me and my fiancé didn’t include any actual plans for a ceremony in our application. We wrote our letters of intent to marry and signed them. I always assumed that was all they required.
  12. I’m a March 25th NOA1 but I’m really excited because I feel like this is the first week where my case could possibly be touched. Probably unlikely but the possibility feels so good after over a year of waiting.
  13. I received my NOA1 on March 25th, 2022 and im hoping to finally receive my NOA2 in the next few weeks. But after such a long wait I’m beginning to worry about the income requirement. Are they usually very strict or somewhat lenient when it comes to your income? It will just be me and my fiancé, a two person household, so the amount isn’t very much. But I will only have two years of tax returns to show. Last year my income was just below the requirement and this year it is $4,000 over the requirement. Maybe I’m feeling anxious for no reason but I’ve read online that it’s best to show many years of income that meets the requirement. Also, does it help to have a written statement from your employer that you are earning steady income?
  14. February now has less than 2,000 untouched cases. The possibility of getting an approval within the next month is beginning to sink in and it feels amazing. I can’t wait until they’re working on March and we can realistically look forward to our approvals each day.
  15. I filed in late March of 2022 and recently heard that I should have sent a copy of both the front and back of my birth certificate. I only sent the front side. Is it possible to go ahead and sent the copy of the back side to prevent a possible RFE?
  16. So if the USCIS can keep a pace of 800 cases processed each week, we should probably see a lot of March cases being processed by early May? And if they could somehow speed up even more to around 1,200 cases per week, we could see March being worked on by early-mid April. This is really exciting
  17. Hello, my receipt date is March 25th, 2022. It seems like there aren’t as many members from March compared to other months. The processing is really speeding up and already getting into January. With February being a shorter month I’m getting really excited as a March filer. I’ve been quite pessimistic throughout this wait but the recent developments have me optimistic.
