  1. Update: The original I-130 CR1 / Petition was reopened. The original decision denying the I-130 petition has been withdrawn. It is further ordered that I-130 form be approved. It took her 84 days, from filing the I-290B to Arizona, which then forwarded everything back to original svc ( TX) on June 15th. Just in case if someone is in the same boat. Thank you all.
  2. I am so sorry, like this is not stressful already. They do maintenance every Sat. around 6pm. Hopefully it clears by Monday, so you don’t even have to wait for the inquiry response.
  3. Did you pay it one by one? Did you check your bank statement to see if the payment went through? Also, a lot of members reported having problems end of May.
  4. Payment takes few days. After payment is accepted , it’s 2-3 weeks. If additional documents are required ( you’ll know when they send you a message on the ceac site inbox) clock is set back to another 2-3 weeks. Accepted doesn’t mean dq’d. Dq’ comes in the regular email with a date of visa appointment in the assigned embassy/consulate abroad and further instructions for medical, etc. You can check NVC processing times, they are accurate.
  5. K1 used to be faster in bringing beneficiary to the US, not the case anymore. Also to skip dealing with local authorities regarding marriage licenses, city hall wedding ceremony requirements, religious ceremony etc, at least for our home land ( Bosnia and Herzegovina) because it takes forever. We were lucky, though. I am all for CR1 option for the various reasons stated above. There is always zoom utah option, but you cannot start the I-130 petition process until you see each other in person after that. You can then file it online, from there.
  6. Divorce decree needs to be uploaded in in the applicant/beneficiary field. Go for the county clerk’s office certified copy with that nice, fat red stamp. Mine was settled out of court and e-filed before the Covid and I couldn’t do zilch with it, even when notarized. You’ll obtain it in the county clerk office, it took me a day and 3 bucks, midst Covid and bastille called NYC. Just make an appt.
  7. She sent the certified translation of marriage certificate along with the I-290b. Now, for a new I-130 does she need another one or the copy of the translation would be sufficient?
  8. Does she need to withdraw the motion to reopen her previous petition before she files a new I-130 again?
  9. Yes, she is doing it without the lawyer. They denied her petition because she didn’t include translated marriage certificate.
  10. Hello, dear people. Here is the rundown: my friend’s I-130 petition for her husband living abroad PD: 07/01/2022 Texas SC First review: 07/17/2022 Second Review: 05/01/2023 Denied the same day. No RFE’s, no NOID. She didn’t supply the translated marriage certificate. Filed motion to reopen and reconsider on 05/30/2023, within 30 days.( She was abroad with him when the petition was denied) Arizona USCIS review dept, sent it back on to Texas SC on June 8th. She is at this point thinking to reply instead waiting for the decision. She is in dire situation since she is scheduled for open heart surgery post delivery. Does she need to withdraw the Motion to Reopen ( I-290b ) or straight up file everything again? Thank you so mucb.
