Every situation mentioned here that involves embassy and passport is for renewal of the passport previously issued. Double check for the first time issuance. Also, considering the times we are living in, with embassy personnel being understaffed, workload backed up through the roof, do you really believe they will be very accommodating in your situation where you just cannot wait with resources readily available here including expedites and expecting a concierge level of service once at their turf? I would ask myself that question.

My husband and I were originally planning nuptials here. He was truthful on the interview and he got his visitors visa, March 10th 2020. We didn’t want him to risk overstaying once everything hit down, so he never used it. I eventually went over and we got married, and filed I-130 as was originally planned. No problems whatsoever, just simple truth. The best of luck.

No DCF at Embassy Question - Ireland
Amunah replied to Mosartap's topic in Direct Consular Filing (DCF) General Discussion
Best of luck. Keep us updated. -
Everyone’s circumstances are different and I dare say unique, so there is no fool proof way to go about it. Recommendations what is better, etc, yes, but again everyone’s story is their own, and as long as you are ready to lay it out, explain it ( if necessary) you’ll be just fine. You met the minimum requirement for one meeting in two years. I wish you the best of luck and to succeed.

The form fee is 1,140 and biometrics are 85, the sum is 1225, you can sent 1000 on one MO and 225 on the other, like they did, as long as the sum is correct. What the USCIS will not accept are different methods of payment combined, like for example them sending the check and money order, which they didn’t.

Make sure you check all the requirements so you do not make unnecessary tripS to the DMV. ( Said a woman who thought her husband’s official documents arriving through the mail will be sufficient: nope). You have plenty free tests online. Start yesterday. ( Yup, the same woman)

Is this an NoA2 approval?
Amunah replied to happyscrub's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
That is usually the second update after the petitio has been approved by the USCIS, and forwarded to DoS. Congratulations! -
What country ? Where did you get married? Please fill out your timeline. In Bosnia and Herzegovina birth certificate gets updated when you marry and you need an affidavit of eligibilty to marry prior the civil ceremony. As for a stepson, your marriage certificate to his dad as a proof of relationship.

I am from NY our service center was Nebraska. My friend’s ( also from NY) service center was Texas. It’s internal and cannot be predicted. My cousin filed for his fiance K1 NOA1 was January 1st, 2022, she arrived On October 27th 2023. Our CR1 NOA1 was May 24th 2022, my husband arrived on Dec 8th 2023. The difference? He got his ssn the following week and 10 year green card 2 weeks ago. They just filed week ago, from the beginning. They regret big time not going cr1 route. And the fees keep going up. Look at the timelines, facts, this whole site is based on someone’s experience and potential pitfalls and hurdles that can be avoided.

It is an estimate based on timelines of other members. Dynamic of timelines is based on processing times that have changed quite a lot, during our process for example. Your work place can serve as a perfect example how little do we really can control. We have all been there believe me, but it will pass. Patience, greatfulness and supplication, and a lot of deep breaths. We are here for everything else.
