  1. My AOS was received April 16th. The check was cashed and notice sent. I received the I-797, then the paper with the online access code and then the biometrics appointment. You can see the PDF of the biometrics in your USCIS Documents account tab once it has been scheduled. We decided to also do the I-765 and it was received May 8th and I over the weekend I can see it was received. I feel like everyone rushed to get their applications in before the increase in fees and that might be why it's taking longer...just my personal opinion.
  2. I was also very excited when they started May but now that excitement is completely gone. They are definitely more focused on June now. I'm very nervous that I will be waiting into the Fall just for NOA2. I would feel better if USCIS would just be transparent as to why this happens. Honesty and transparency goes along way. I feel like my file has fallen under someone's desk and I can't even bring it to their attention until November when our inquiry date arrives.
  3. I am definitely struggling with this process. May 10th and nothing. There looks to be about 33 cases untouched in my range and no movement in 2 days. Everytime I see an approval from a June filer I am absolutely gutted. How are others handling this?
  4. Another day and no approval. NOA1 5/10/2022. I knew that cases after me would be approved before mine but I didn't realize how disheartening it would actually be. I was so excited when May cases started to be approved and now it's just torture every day. I envision my file having fallen under a desk accumulating dust each day. I realize I had originally planned on NOA2 in August but with so many other May approvals I let myself get excited thinking it would be earlier. Thanks for letting me vent.
  5. First, I am so sorry for this news for you and your family. I am not sure on slowing the process of the visa however I have experience with pancreatic cancer. I do not want to be a downer or the bearer of bad news but I went through this less than two years ago with my Dad. He was diagnosed in December and passed by July and that was with aggressive chemo. Of course everyone is different. My suggestion is to have your fiance attend the medical appoints with her Mom and discuss options and what they feel is the timeframe. Explain the situation you are in with the visa to the doctor so they can explain what the different stages of this cancer can look like. Again, I'm so sorry for this terrible news.
