  1. Absolutely. I do think they'll receive their IL soon. Also, it was very wise of them to transfer to Frankfurt instead of Warsaw.
  2. Yes, the priority is Ukrainians > Germans > Russians from the many timelines I've seen. US Embassy Islamabad is also prioritising Afghan beneficiaries over Pakistani beneficiaries because of the crisis.
  3. You will need a joint sponsor unless you take up a job in the US before his interview. Did you get an email saying you are documentarily qualified? I'm guessing not. It is irrelevant how high your income is because it won't continue once you move to the US with your husband, so it is not taken into consideration.
  4. That’s good. Look, I think nothing is wrong with your case, you’re just in a different queue. For example, in US Embassy Amman, Syrians and Iraqis are in a different queue than Jordanians. In US Embassy Ankara, Iraqi and Irani citizens are in a different (slower) queue than Turkish citizens. Your wife needs to reach out to other Russians interviewing in Frankfurt to find out where they’ve reached.
  5. I’ve read that Russians are deprioritized in Frankfurt. That is to say — don’t compare to Ukrainian beneficiary timelines, and instead Russian ones.
  6. Yeah, it’s dishonest and even if the divorce were finalized, he’d still have to be transparent about it and attach a divorce certificate. It’s one of the most important documents in a petition like that. What a careless attitude.
  7. As far as I know, if the beneficiary lives in Russia, the case starts with MOS, even if it gets transferred.
  8. Exactly. It only recognised that we have submitted our documents after we got DQ.
  9. Isn’t Warsaw the designated consulate for Russians? Anyway, it’s possible Russians might be in a different queue than other transfers to Frankfurt.
  10. You’ll need your previous marriage’s divorce certificate. File for divorce and obtain the certificate ASAP. The reason you’ll need to divorce your second spouse afterwards is because USCIS will not accept the overlap in the marriages. You’ll need a new marriage certificate that shows no overlap. Lastly, you’ll have to sign a letter explaining what happened and that you never intended to commit bigamy.
  11. You will not benefit from knowing what was wrong with their birth certificate issued from a country that was not India. It seems you obtained your Indian PCC from the incorrect office? Is your PCC signed AND stamped by the Ministry of External Affairs? This is the criteria:
  12. You just take people’s word for it when it comes to important things like divorce? Annulment is so difficult to do, btw. Most people who want to annul their marriages end up being told they’re not eligible. That should have been your first red flag. You are not a child, you should have asked for the annulment decree many years ago. Now you are committing bigamy, and you put your current spouse in a bad position. From my limited knowledge, you’ll have to divorce your spouse in the US, then your second spouse abroad. Lastly, you’ll have to marry your second spouse again.
  13. Sometimes they transfer you, sometimes they don’t. They never tell you if they do. Now the wait starts.
  14. You need to submit both Civil documents and AOS documents by clicking on the submit button. Then your wait starts. Case status will not change until your documents get reviewed by the NVC.
  15. Hello, Didn't find a thread so decided to make one. Final submission 6th of October. Good luck to all, and keep us posted!
  16. Hey guys, don't jump on the hate train! We're not planning to do that, and can't anyway. I've been studying the immigration process very closely ever see we embarked on this journey, and I don't get it from a US point of view. If you adjust status, then you qualify for a green card, and your visa bulletin is current. It's not like you are adjusting status despite an ineligibility to do so. What kind of problems, possibly security or workload related does it create for USCIS for aliens to adjust status from a tourist visa? I am not looking for an answer like "Well, it wouldn't be fair to the immigrants who went through consular processing." I know it isn't fair, but USCIS doesn't care about how we feel, so what's the actual reason?
