  1. You will only need to file the I-130 online, but you need to also download the I-130A, fill it in, and attach it as an extra file in the application. I-485 does not apply to you, because you’re not in the US.
  2. Only do whatever nvc.state.gov/find says you need to do for German and Swiss police certificates. They describe it in extreme detail, so do take a look.
  3. You’re not even current on chart B so you can’t start paying the fees. You gotta forget about your petition and come back in a few years when your PD is current on chart B.
  4. I think it’s too early to complain. We have a DQ around the same time as you, but our consulate has a four month backlog. Some consulates have a 20 month backlog, so a 2 month wait is nothing.
  5. Wow it took you so fast to get the approval. Usually it takes a few years. Yeah, you definitely have to wait for 15 years at least. People with PD in 2007 are just interviewing now.
  6. They tell you the interview date over a month in advance so you have enough time to plan. Changing the interview date is not recommended with the still-existing backlog.
  7. @noman shahid You are ready to interview when your PD becomes BEFORE the date in the visa bulletin for chart A. How many years it takes to get there, no one can tell you. It is your job to look at the bulletin each month and figure out the trend.
  8. No it does take more than that for your PD to become the same as chart A in the visa bulletin. I don’t know your PD so I’m giving you general advice. Because the US Embassy in Islamabad is very slow, it takes 3 years on top of that. In any case, if you’ve received the email from NVC, you have to focus now on your case becoming DQ or documentarily qualified.
  9. That’s great. Then use the NVC case number and invoice number provided in the email to log into the account they created for you, and start paying the fees for the immigrants.
  10. When the priority date become current on chart B of the visa bulletin for your country, attached below: Look at F4.
  11. Today at 9:30 AM AMMAN time they sent out ILs for DQ August, September, and beginning of October to be interviewed in February 2023.
  12. Did you not indicate whether your husband will adjust status or attend an interview abroad? You need to file the I-824.
  13. Your signature was handwritten, but the date was not. And they still issued the RFE. Is that correct?
  14. I’ve seen people making the statement that their income is foreign based getting DQ’d, and I’ve also seen people uploading proof of their foreign income getting DQ’d without the statement. I would suggest you write the statement first + attach the proof of current foreign income in page 2. I think they’ll accept either/both.
  15. Pakistan accepts Afghan cases but it’s heavily backlogged. I recommend you look into other neighboring countries. Yes, you have to submit a public inquiry form to request the transfer. EDIT: I heard US Embassy Doha accepts Afghan cases. Actually, from what the website says, it sounds like the staff of US Embassy Kabul have relocated there.
  16. They won’t review it but they will see it. So it will be “submitted”, but never turn into “accepted” the way your other documents did. Proof that they see it: When people go to interviews, and they get the 221G asking for a missing document, the consul tells them to send it by courier AND upload the missing document to CEAC.
  17. The NVC stage is very fast right now. It only took us 45 days to be “Documentarily Qualified”, i.e., ready for an interview appointment. US Embassy Casablanca sends out interview letters only a few weeks after the NVC stage is complete. After your approval, if you upload all the correct documents to the NVC and become case complete from the first time, you won’t have to wait much. You’re SO close, and so very lucky that your husband is in Morocco and not a country where waiting for an interview date takes a year! Study the reciprocity documents schedule for the country of issuance of each civil document on nvc.state.gov/find, and start compiling the financial evidence you’ll need for the I-864. Familiarize yourself with the NVC stage before it arrives.
  18. But the US doesn’t. Why would the US care about what Algeria mandates? The US doesn’t recognize dual citizens, btw. It allows them but does not care about what the American citizen’s (or immigrant’s) other country says. To ease your mind…. There’s plenty of Syrian male beneficiaries here asking how to get a police certificate from Syria for the NVC/interview, when Syria does not issue them for military deserters. There’s a waiver for the PCC in that case. Why? Because the USA does not care about another country’s military mandates!
  19. I don’t understand the purpose of the receipt. You wait (give it 3 business days) for text under “IV application” to turn into a clickable blue “START NOW” and the same for “Financial evidence”. When the payment is processed in a few business days, you are able to click START NOW.
  20. The military card is only needed if he DID serve in the military, which he didn’t. Everything mentioned in the website has a purpose. Read carefully what is and isn’t needed. If you haven’t been married before, then you won’t be able to produce a divorce certificate out of thin air. Same with a military card. Same with a death certificate.
  21. Do these websites matter more than what the visa itself says? “Upon endorsement serves as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year”. The visa’s purpose has been fulfilled, so it is irrelevant now. Your stamp is your proof of permanent residence now.
