  1. If the police certificate mentioned any incident, it's only natural they'd ask for court documents. I'm sorry it feels unnecessary, but they don't know that.
  2. Congrats to everyone who got DQ'd. Hope more will be coming this week
  3. I remember when we got DQ’d over the weekend (first submission Oct 5, last submission Oct 6) there were still people Oct 4 who didn’t get reviewed. I think this means today on the NVC timeframes they will announce they’ve reached Oct 12th or prior.
  4. Their estimations cannot be trusted. For many people, the predicted time passes, and they don't get approved. It's best you create your own timeline here and compare with others. How are we supposed to know? You didn't tell us what US Consulate the beneficiary will interview in. Also, there's still the NVC stage. Assuming you sent in all the correct documents, it takes 1.5 months to become "documentarily qualified". Then depending on how backlogged (or not) your consulate is, the wait starts.
  5. Yes. It'll say "ACCEPTED" for Civil Documents and Financial Documents after they get reviewed.
  6. Did they say they want “proof of current employment”? They probably haven’t realized that your current employment isn’t coming from the US. They’re inattentive like that. It’s good you have a joint sponsor lined up,.
  7. You should include her W2 because when they see that your joint sponsor’s income does not = total income on the tax transcript, they will issue a RFE.
  8. Marvelous, I am very excited for you!!!! How nice that the wait is coming to an end and you will be reunited with your loved ones soon. 🥳
  9. Wow, congrats!!!!! 🎉 I’m so happy and excited for you!! Thank you for letting us know. Hopefully OP has his IL coming. @Aberdeer Did you get anything?
  10. It is not, but entering the US with the goal of adjusting status is fraud. I would suggest the spousal visa. The I-129F has an increasing backlog of 0.5 month each month.
  11. I-129Fs are taking 16 months to get approved now, it's a no-brainer that the CR-1 visa is superior.
  12. In his defense, it’s possible he has dual citizenship, which would mean he doesn’t need to sign an affidavit.
  13. I haven’t considered that. Are you sure? Then the objective would be to convince them that it will continue when the petitioner moves back to the US.
  14. Hope both of you get your ILs soon One gets impatient towards the end.... We just got DQ'd this weekend and expect an IL in January.
  15. Is your wife the beneficiary? If yes, then no. If you're filing for someone that is not your wife, they MIGHT ask you to submit it. You can wait for the RFE or submit it in advance. Sometimes they just like to see that the spouse is onboard.
  16. No, you shouldn't mail anything. It's outdated writing. It says "Action Required: Submit Documents" up until they DQ you. So long as you clicked that submit button, you're good.
