  1. Please bring peace to my mind. I think I understand why this happened but I need reassurance. Us embassy in Manila for K1 visa. My fiance and her son had their medical and interview done about 6 weeks ago. Unfortunately, medical did not have TB tests due to a shortage and the test could not be completed for the K2 addition. They both proceeded to the interview knowing they would not recieve visas because no TB test compete for minor. The interview went well and both were approved with the exception of a 221g for two things: Must complete TB test for k2 And an updated Birth certificate for name change. Both fly back to their island and waited month for TB tests to be available, they were contacted by email and told when to arrive. It was only 2 day notice. By this time, my fiance had her updated birth certificate in hand now. They arrive in Manila and complete TB test same day. They did not hand them anything stating the test would be forwarded to the embassy. That same day, my fiance mailed her updated birth certificate along with both their passports to the embassy as instructed. CEAC has said REFUSED for over a week now, and I'm sure it's normal but I am concerned because i haven't heard anything from embassy why it's refused. Is this normal processing? I'm sure it is. Please tell me this is normal as we're going tired of guessing... We already submitted everything that is required. Thank you
  2. Hello again members. We were handed a 221g at the interview for a K1 visa which included the need for a birth certificate with an AKA for a name change. The embassy recieved the requested documents by mail on the 20th. Does anybody know about how long the embassy takes to process 221g? She's waiting in Manila as we speak as we also had to come back a second time to complete an IGRA test for her son. Maybe a few weeks? Thank you!
  3. Nothing yet. Just rumors. Don’t change your medical or interview, continue as scheduled. If they don’t have tests available yet, they will place you on a call list when they are ready. Our k2 was also allowed into the interview without complete medical packet, but his visa will not be issued until the 221g request for IGRA test is complete.
  4. That's really kind of you. Both my fiance and her k2 went to the embassy. They allowed her k2 to enter without his complete medical packet (they told me he would not be allowed in when I submitted inquiry). The interview went smoothly and they were approved, they barely asked any questions as well. They said they can not issue the visas until her k2 has his IGRA test. They issued a 221g for the IGRA test. Once medical has tests available we will fly they back and complete his test, then submit it to the embassy. We feel much more calm now, and I really appreciate you reaching out.
  5. we had our medical booked about a month ago. We also had no warning about igra tests.
  6. We could use some advice if anybody has some wisdom to share. My fiance and her k2 have completed the medical, without the igra test for her son, and he will need to go back when some are available. At first we were going to just call it and send her back home, delay the interview and wait. But she has expressed some anxiety with the interview lately, concerned what if they deny our visas. The wait is really causing stress. So, we have their interview set for Tuesday, we have not canceled or rescheduled it, and now we are considering having her go through with the interview without her k2. Lets say she is approved, what would happen with the k2 visa? Is it easy to reschedule just a k2 appointment? It might be so much easier to continue everything knowing you have a visa approved. What do you all think? Thanks
