N400 Traffic Citation + night in jail
Family replied to RonB1986's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
You are ok to DIY …just change your tactic. 1. Do NOT submit any of your “original “ paperwork from the incident . Zero, zilch, nada . Think of OJ..he was arrested for murder ( original paperwork, but no conviction… 2. Get certified Court disposition..if court says records not available , that is all that is needed to satisfy USCIS. They cannot go behind a record of conviction…even in cases where there are arrests for felony … you are only talking about traffic violations. 3. You are fine with answering as you did on the questions. They are meant to cover the reality that applicants often have more than one contract with law enforcement and the nature of incident can vary …so grin and bear it. Your wife will be fine, spend the money on a second honeymoon right after she takes the oath. -
K1 Denied. Applying for B1 Tourist Visa instead?
Family replied to ZeUs_XxX's topic in Tourist Visas
Marry her via UtahZoom when you get there in 10 days. File her I-130 online for Consular process, asap. That way she goes to her visitor visa interview, she can tell them she is married, pursuing proper IV and would like the visitor visa for short trips while waiting. You certainly should write a touching letter for Officer to consider highlighting exactly the points in your post..and send a photo of you in uniform! -

Worth filing new I-130 w claim to F-2A priority date. https://www.ilrc.org/sites/default/files/resources/how_to_recaptureretain_and_utilize_priority_dates_february_2022.pdf B. When a New Petition May Be Required to Recapture a Priority Date Based on the language of the DHS regulations, as well as dicta in the Supreme Court decision in Cuellar de Osorio,22 there is a reasonable argument that derivative beneficiary children of LPRs who naturalize, automatically convert to immediate relative beneficiaries, without a new petition being filed by their newly naturalized parent. It is clear that the BIA in Matter of Wang overruled one regulation which required a new petition for aged out derivatives moving from the F2A to the F2B category.

1. Do a FOIA ( dad’ s name ) both to DOS ( Dept of State/NVC and USCIS) for the complete file of the I-130 . 2. Do an Ask NVC ( dad of course) and ask for status of case and AOS/IV invoice if case is still active .. **I think case was terminated after 3 years of notices they kept sending your dad ..way back then).** You will be able to see those notices in the FOIA records. If case was terminated, there is NOTHING you can argue to bring it back to life….dad just did not want to bring his wife and child to the US.. BUT…he can file a new I-130 for you and TRY to claim the priority date from the petition for your mom…long shot , since he has naturalized ..but worth trying.

Add to that a huge mental health problem, especially in younger people, and over medication of same, all to the benefit of big pharma. I favor a Wall for border security and even liked the idea of coming up with a prison work program for non violent offenders to get it done. .. perhaps incorporating a bit of treatment modeled on Shalom House in Australia. ..whose motto is Change Your Life or ####### Off https://www.shalomhouse.com.au/ But as we all know , the Wall build was just a bit of a con : https://www.npr.org/2023/04/26/1172343738/we-build-the-wall-founder-sentenced-prison Founder of the We Build The Wall group linked to Steve Bannon is sentenced to 4 years

601A Evidence Question
Family replied to davidvs's topic in Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)
It’s a very good argument and will be given weight . Tell the doctor to address letter To Whom It May Concern , list his medical conditions and prescribed medications. You can then make a copy of his meds , add a few medical records and have mom write a letter in support. Mom can describe the indispensable help your wife is to them and to you ..like driving to medical appointments or emergency care, picking up prescriptions, helping with household chores , meals etc. -
Here is an inside look into creating that new gun customer base.. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2022/07/firearms-industry-marketing-mass-shooter/670621/ The old responsible industry prohibitions were gone. Everywhere I looked, I saw advertisements that played on the new fear-based tactical culture

Common Sense Gun Laws is a term bandied about freely by those in favor and those against guns. The reality til now has been lots of talk and little bipartisan action, since most gun deaths occur in a handful ( 100 or so ) populated cities /poor neighborhoods ..there is little support from states unaffected by big numbers. I know one thing, even though mass shootings have only averaged around 100 deaths a year, they are messing with my psyche…and will profoundly impact our children. One of the great things about our Constitution is the fact that it has and can change..

Mass shootings are an American Tragedy, no matter the demographic profile of the shooter. ..though I venture to say they are mostly men and young boys with easy access to the Man Card campaign of the billion $ industry. As for common sense, some nations ( Norway, New Zealand..) looked at our other recent Texas tragedy and said ..Enough, No More. Of course, the most vocal critics are victims… https://www.texastribune.org/2023/05/01/greg-abbott-illegal-immigrants-shooting-victims-texas/ Fred Guttenberg, an outspoken activist and father of a victim of the 2018 Parkland, Florida, school shooting. “This shooting has nothing to do with immigration status and much to do with your policies.

Texas gun dealers “lose” more guns than any other state, though I am quite sure insurance claims cover their loss. Residents are not even required to make a police report for a lost/stolen gum. Oddly enough, 40% of guns used to commit crimes in Mexico are Texas guns…so local street market for unregulated guns is flush with easy access. Some numbers here, by a group of survivors of a Texas mass shooting. .. https://www.txgunsense.org/articles/texas-gun-violence-facts

So you would have to change your DL every time you change your pronouns? No reason to micromanage/ mandate changes .. though I am hoping a new pronoun could also be chosen by the claimants to reflect the 3rd gender. … The current “ pronoun preference “ feels” to me like gender / cultural misappropriation of the male / female. -

I can live with a formal implementation of a 3rd Gender state issued ID where any alphabet soup sub category can be self reported at some agreed on age appropriate marker. ..18? -

How to file a Mandamus in Federal Court
Family replied to igoyougoduke's topic in General Immigration-Related Discussion
Excellent post. Here’s hoping you encourage many DIY ers with cases stuck in pending purgatory..to give it a shot. Your outline de mystifies the WOM and I agree it can succeed without the legal jargon. ..of course there are ready made filings ( by attorneys) in case anyone wants to dabble. .just request copies from courts online ..PACER -
According to some quick reading ( random attorney web), USCIS policy manual updated to show they treat Filing Date Chart for I-485 as the sought to acquire point that meet the one year . You should argue exceptional circumstances and include I-824 filing as additional evidence of sought to acquire. On a side note, I personally know of a person w your EXACT facts ( entry, age and child of LPR) whose AOS was incredibly granted.
