  1. Perfect, thanks. I also added her to my new lease and she'll print a copy just in case they need verification
  2. Lol yes, we slowly all become mini-experts here after years on this forum I didn't do it on the original I-130 because I believe I tried that at first and didn't see any options to change/update the address and then found another recommendation online
  3. I used the account I submitted my 1st notification at https://my.uscis.gov/accounts/change-of-address/start/overview Like so many other things regarding this whole process, the information on what and how to do things is all over the place and confusing
  4. Thanks, yes it's for an IR-1 visa. Perfect, is that it then? That would be great and very simple 👍🏻
  5. Hello all, I'm the US citizen/sponsor for my wife's green card and I moved since the original application, which was approved in January. I recently moved and look up information online about how to update her US address and did so via this USCIS page about two months ago: https://my.uscis.gov/accounts/change-of-address/start/overview I haven't received any notifications and she's arriving to the US in 2 weeks. I just submitted another change of address notification on that same page and when I click on the "View your Change of Address submissions" it still shows the "you currently have no submissions". I'm a bit concerned because not only I know permanent residents need to update their address with USCIS but also she will receive her SSN card and physical green card via mail. Would anyone know if I just followed the right process or not? Anything else I need to do? Thanks!!
  6. Thanks! I was going to update this post with the fact that we found out she was approved this morning So for future reference to those in a similar situation, it has taken us about 3 weeks to get an answer ✌🏻
  7. Hi, we're just wondering if anyone has gone through this in the past 6 months or so via the Manila US Embassy? We stupidly forgot to bring the original divorce decree. Because of holidays (interview was on 12/23), we were able to submit the original on 1/3. Thanks
  8. Hello! My wife's interview on 12/23 went well, however, we (stupidly) placed my original divorve decree in another folder that stayed home and she was given a 221g letter and she was told her visa would be approved once they receive the original missing document. The instructions are very straight forward and we're not really worried about anything, however we are having trouble finding this "Document Submission Form" they request. The link in the letter doesn't go anywhere that has that option. We did several searches and find other versions if this document from international US embassies, just not the one for Manila. Would someone here have a copy of it or a working link to it? Also, we read on the Embassy website that instead of sending it via courier, we could submit it in person a the VAC at Parqal. We will be staying in the area next week and plan on stopping by but don't know if we need to make an appointment for this. Has anyone submitted docs directly this way? Thanks and happy new year everyone! *This is the text of our letter: "Dear xxxxx: Your visa application is refused under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). 10. Wonderful, thank you one more time!
  11. That's wonderful news!! We are in the process of getting all the docs to file ROM in SF (where I happen to live). Since you appear to know a lot about this whole process, would you know what to do for section 20 of the ROM form where it requires a notarized signature of the husband and wife? There's space for one notary's signature and stamp. Should it be notarized and stamped by a notary in the Philippines and another one here in the US? (since we're not in the same location). Cheers!
  12. We're getting so close to the end of this thing and thought we were done with any questions. Unfortunately, there's a new one (We looked online and cannot find an answer). We have the medical, biometrics and interview set up for December, which is awesome. However, we totally missed doing the ROM after we got married (Utah online during the pandemic). It looks like it's not a huge issue but, we also found out my wife will need a CFO sticker/certificate once she has a visa in order to be able to leave the country. When we went to the website for this service (https://cfo.gov.ph/), we see on the list of requested documents that they need a "Report of Marriage in Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) security paper (if married overseas)". I see that if I file for the ROM in San Francisco now it might take between 6 months and a year to get the certificate. Does anyone know if we'd be able to get a CFO counseling appointment and sticker if we don't have filed ROM or if it's being processed? Thanks for any assistance with this!! The following are the GCP primary requirements: 1. Barcoded Confirmation form of GCP Appointment 2. Original valid passport and additional two (2) valid IDs; 3. Original valid visa and Confirmation of Permanent Residence (for Canada-bound only); 4. Petitioner’s passport copy or one (1) valid ID; and 5. Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marriage certificate in security paper (if married in the Philippines); 6. Report of Marriage in Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) security paper (if married overseas)
  13. Makes sense and it also helps clarifying some reports I read in the past about the US spouse being there physically during the interview
  14. Thanks! We definitely have everything on CEAC and now we'll just update some of the docs from 2022/23. And thanks for clarifying I (US spouse) won't be able to be there with her!
