  1. For example another post was from November 2023: "Solo I-212 National Benefits Center Sunshine22 replied to Sunshine22's topic in Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g) Update: our I-212 was approved, 5 weeks after they accepted the form! We originally hired a lawyer for the whole process but with the long wait I had a lot of time to research and felt confident I could prepare the application so we decided to save some money and file it ourselves. Some cases may benefit from having a lawyer, but it is possible to file and get approved without one. Good luck to everyone on their journey!" This gave me a gauge when I filed our waiver in April 2024 that okay, five weeks seems optimistic. I would say three months seems realistic maybe five months max benefit of the doubt. As we come into the eighth month of waiting for any approval or denial of this waiver I can't help wonder if there is some form of discrimination that goes into this process? Six months later and someone who is approved in five weeks and someone else is waiting eight months? Doesn't seem like a backlog even is possible to accumulate in this period of time for this type of waiver. Maybe I am ranting about this I only want to track this for someone else going through this, they give us a 30 month estimated wait time. And then other people are approved in five weeks, seems super unpredictable especially when trying to plan, you know our life. Thanks @Sunshine22 for your timeline for reference and hope all is well.
  2. Hello friends, I understand the wait time is estimated here: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ my question is if anyone has had their I-212 waiver processed within the past year or two and can share their timeline. Based on my research I've seen some people have it processed within 2 to 3 weeks and some people wait roughly 8 months. They give a wait time of 30 months which however I feel about it doesn't seem accurate. Our I-212 was filed because we didn't know immigration status after filing multiple FOIA requests that had no pertinent info, and only found out our status after getting our I-130 approved then denied a day later due to needing an I-212. It has been 7 months since filing the I-212 and I guess my hope is that we are a family immigration visa so our I-212 seems to be a prioritized waiver, we updated our medical as it expires after 6 months just in case and are ready to go pending approval. Maybe this will help someone else one day who goes through this as it seems like some form of punishment and can be extremely demoralizing in my experience. Thanks for contributing in advance.
  3. Let's just reward those who broke the law and make it very very very very very inconvenient, no, devastating for those who are doing things legally. Sure I am sympathetic for each case is different, such a broken system that said.
