Cannot Update my VisaJourney Timeline
Bh_sarah replied to Mychal's topic in Site-Related Discussion - Updates, Ideas, etc.
I filled the contact form for VJ to let them know about this issue, but since I see other people did it too and never got a reply, I wanted to create a topic here about it. I see you were quicker! I don’t think VJ ever considered that NVC would take more than 60 days. Well, almost 90 now. Should be fixed asap so the NVC processing timeline is accurate! -
DECEMBER 2021 1-129F K1 FILERS
Bh_sarah replied to J&D1008's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
It’s been 4 days and nothing either. I might start a thread here about it to see if they pay attention to it! Haha -
Be mindful not everyone gets approved in the first bulk of activity (I was one of them that got approved almost 1.5-2 months later than the other filers in my month). But again, it's getting faster and most are getting approvals in 12-13 months compared to the 15 month average for early 2022 filers! Good luck with your process and stay strong!

OP, it's hard to be kept in the dark. I know it is. And I'm sorry that this is taking longer than you expected. I'm close to getting to the embassy phase but my time waiting for a I-129f approval was tough and processing times kept getting longer and longer. You'll see the VJ processing time data is user-generated. And unfortunately many users do not update their timeline. Another way to see how long is taking right now is checking the monthly filers threads here on VJ. People usually post their approval dates and how many days it took. They're now working mostly in June and July 22, and most are getting approvals in a year (12 months) or even a bit less. Of course, every case is different, some people get approved after others that filed on the same month. It's a gamble. All I can tell you is that it's getting faster. Early 2022 filers waited about 450-480 days for an approval, June/July are at about 370-390. If it keeps that way, then it will get even faster. The thing is that USCIS may slowdown anytime, so what is happening now may not be happening when they get to your month. Nothing points to it, but it's just something to consider. I would also not waste the 7 months you have been waiting if the goal is to be together and you don't mind that the beneficiary will not be able to work, travel outside of US and even drive in some states. Median processing times for employment authorization (I-765) and advance parole (to let the beneficiary travel, I-131) are faster than the proper adjustment of status (green card, I-485) and you can get them faster than the green card and then it's possible to work, drive, leave the country, etc. I'm linking here the June and July filers thread so you can check for yourself. Just search "[month] 2022 K1 I-129f filers" here on VJ and you will find many like this one.

FEBRUARY 2022 I-129F K1 FILERS
Bh_sarah replied to J&D1008's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
"In transit to an officer" sounds like they transferred from an officer to another? I mean, why is it in transit when your petition has been there all along? Weird! Well, waiting 45 more days is infuriating too but gotta celebrate the little victories. I'm glad your senators could get this info and not just a generic response! Praying you hear something way sooner than 45 days! -
FEBRUARY 2022 I-129F K1 FILERS
Bh_sarah replied to J&D1008's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
I wish I kept updating it until all the pending cases I know get approved! I'm rooting a lot for you and visiting your timeline to see if you updated it (though I think you would tell us here too!). So glad your senator was willing to investigate, hoping this triggers something! And so happy you get to spend time with your fiancé, fingers crossed your approval will come now so you get to celebrate together!!!! No problem at all, I am glad it helped other people since it was more like a stress relief to me! I will try to keep updating it, just waiting on the server to stop giving me issues! Thanks for your kind words! -
My opinion is that the USCIS -> NVC part really isn't embassy dependant. Case creation at NVC doesn't seem either. I thought if something was to be embassy dependant, it had to be the shipping part to embassy/case going from "at NVC" to "in transit" to "ready". It's hard to track with so many embassies involved, but looking closely at cases in my embassy, doesn't seem so either. I have two cases in my embassy that I know that got their NOA2s late march... one is still waiting for a case number, another got the case number in less than 90 days and already has the interview scheduled.

MAY 2022 I-129F K1 FILERS
Bh_sarah replied to J&D1008's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Please follow the thread below for May 2023 NOA2s. Most of May NOA2s already got NVC Received, but no number yet. Hopefully soon. This one here is for May 2022 filers and most of them will probably also get the NVC Received/case number soon too if they were approved in May 2023. -
DECEMBER 2021 1-129F K1 FILERS
Bh_sarah replied to J&D1008's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
People are just adding the date they found out from NVC that the petition was received. I did that haha and it seems like the limit is 60 days. Timelines are not representing the real NVC date because of that. I will try to contact VJ about it. -
On the inquiry ONLY? The AskNVC email? How's her name on NOA1 and NOA2? Are they correct? If so, I wouldn't mind it so much. Thanks for trying. So it is the 60 day limit. I will check on how to contact VJ about it. This gets the K1 processing data from them skewed to less than what it is actually taking.

June 2022 K-1 I-129f Filers

It has to be the scanner's curse. Stay calm. They are still working heavily on June, way more than in July. Yours is coming! -

APRIL 2021 I-129F K-1 FILERS
Bh_sarah replied to J&D1008's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
I'm sorry about that! At least your state lets you get a DL with the AOS NOA1 (I assume you used that?). Since DL rules vary by state, I think you'd be better off creating a topic of its own on the forum. -
This is case creation. Hard to know exactly when NVC received your petition (unless you find an agent that gives you a specific date). I'd say 2-3 weeks for case number is more accurate – because we usually only find that NVC received the petition AFTER the real date they received it. It's going to be fine. We're way ahead of the expected here.
