You may get shipped only in the next shipment if it was recently created. You can check it by looking at the 3 numbers after the year, then subtracting 500. The result is the Julian date.

Another filer got the exact same RFE some weeks ago, I asked them what they did, they simply checked/signed this RFE and sent it back, they didn't print the whole I-129F again. Of course, their answer is "no" so no need for other court evidence either. Hope that helps!

Wow, sorry. I saw your post on the Mexico portal and yes, no answer. I did research a bit here and found this: But you will see it's from 2016. I would contact the embassy and see if they have your case there/if you can proceed. Did you already fill DS-160? I know it's risky to schedule the interview without much guidance, but as a last resort, I'd do it and leave enough time for the embassy to contact you like mentioned in the thread above.

Congratulations! When was your NOA2? Is your case "in transit" on CEAC now? If so, you can definitely fill + submit DS-160. Take your time to review it all, all info must be valid at the time of the interview. I am not sure how Bangkok works when it comes to embassy, reach out to other members there and see how it is. It's different for every embassy.

I understand. That can happen. Also happened to me, making me miss a shipment date. That's why I told you the NVC timeframes don't matter too much, it's all over the place.

I would not pay attention at all to the NVC timeframes page. It's focused on other immigrant visas that need to submit documents to NVC. We have no idea when USCIS sends out our cases too, and NVC only reviews/creates a case and sends our cases to the embassies for K1 visa. Best you can do is keep inquiring NVC directly to find out.

Try to see what other people do in Mexico. Sometimes following official information and procedures only cost you time. This is what I got from the embassy's website: https://mx.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-visas/f-apply-step3/ - You schedule it yourself online. What we do in Brazil is just go ahead with the DS-160 and interview scheduling on AIS (Mexico uses the same system). We schedule it a month or so ahead so we have time to receive official consulate communication before the interview, but we do it before getting the email from them. Or else we'd be wasting time and losing interview dates. I mean, no way for them to know the beneficiary email to be fair to email them because it's not on I-129F. If you have a lawyer, the email may be on G-28 though. I got my welcome letter 6 days after my case was ready but it was because of the lawyer's G-28 form and my email was on it. Other people that didn't use a lawyer got the email about 15-20 days later, and my guess is that the embassy gets this email from DS-160 (which is a failure because "fill and submit DS-160" is the first step on the email they send us). But don't take my word on it, some embassies are stricter and will cancel interviews if you don't wait. That's why I'd say to get in touch and research what other people in Mexico are doing.

Congratulations!!! That was fast (I see your NOA2 is July 20). This is actually a reply from NVCResearch, right? They are quicker than NVC Public Inquiry, but they won't give our case numbers and will always point you to the public inquiry now (as far as I know). As far as I know, this amount needs to match your last income tax return (2022). It's great to look and get info and financial evidence for this, but just be aware that this form is expired, we have no idea when USCIS will upload a new one, but maybe just check if a new one is out whenever you approach your interview.

Hey, all. No need to argue about that. K1 is a total gray area. Officially, it's non-immigrant, therefore we need to adjust our status in the US. The intent to immigrate is only implied, fiancés have the option of not really adjusting status/not marrying/going back to their home countries, though we all sign intent to marry letters. It's not like a B visa – intent to immigrate is not considered because it's made for tourism only. Because it's a gray area, we need to file DS-160 like non-immigrant visas and fill I-134 form like non-immigrant visas and adjust our status to permanent resident/immigrant whenever we fill in our visa obligations. But we also are treated as immigrant visas on NVC (we are given a case number, to check the status we have to select immigrant, etc.) and also you will find the immigration visa section of the embassies are the ones processing K1s, not the non-immigrant ones. That's why embassies list K1 as immigrant visas on their websites, and AIS interview scheduling systems do it too.

I've seen so many errors on NOA2 already, they do pick any template they can find. the 2 to 4 weeks for NVC processing seems correct, but note that they say "after receiving the petition from USCIS". We have no notification whatsoever to know when USCIS sent the petition, March/April NOA2s experienced almost a 70-day wait to know USCIS had sent the petition to NVC. We started inquiring on day 30 due to the NOA2 advice, but some June people were able to confirm that NVC had received their case by sending an inquiry after day 25 post-NOA2. July NOA2s are seeing super fast NVC waiting times, hoping August is even faster. Yes, that number is the Julian date + 500. So if it's let's say 720, the Julian date is 220 and then you have to check the correspondent day on the calendar. Once it turns to ready, they will include the case creation day there on CEAC. I only submitted my DS-160 when I got to "ready" because it was easier, as I needed the DS-160 application number to schedule my interview. But I left it filled, reviewed, and ready to go before it got to transit. Another question (more like a general question now to everyone here), is the NVCResearch email still working to know if your petition was received? Seems like they aren't replying on it anymore.

I'd say your case is already "Ready" since it was shipped last week (if that's what you meant there/if you got the K1-FTP email last week). How to proceed would depend on your embassy, some will want you to wait for them to contact them, others you can go ahead and schedule everything yourself. I can't really know what's your embassy as you don't have a timeline filled. One thing you can do anyway is to fill out and submit DS-160.

Oh wow. I am so sorry about your situation. It somehow looks like the embassy simply forgot to reach out to you. And a phone call... that is the first one I see that makes phone calls. But they won't accept phone calls in return, funny. They won't reply to any email at all either? I wonder if you can just go to AIS, schedule your interview far ahead and then contact them through that google forms that they have there to reschedule it. See if they will acknowledge it. It's hard to be kept in limbo with no one to contact. I mean, you might as well keep waiting forever if you don't poke them! I am not absolutely sure of the process and the risks though, seeing you do have to pay a fee there on AIS. They also have a "ask the status of my visa" on Google Forms. Would it be useful to try it too?
