  1. The 15.5 month estimative now is only for the first stage of the K1 visa – the I-129F petition. There are still the NVC and Consulate stages after that and that varies by country and case. You should follow this thread to check on the backlog clearing: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/794766-number-of-cases-processed-hit-new-high/page/39/?tab=comments#comment-10797464
  2. I second that. I started tracking the cases in May 2022, but it already had 236 denied/rejected when I started. After that all the denials were actual denials (not form rejections) and it's currently at 272, so 36 denials. There were 16 denials alone on the week of January 20th, I am not sure why, maybe blatant fraud cases or cases that should have had rejected and something escaped their eyes. I wouldn't worry much about this number right now, only if it doesn't stop growing after they actively start working on February,
  3. Oh it's no worries at all. I'm a Feb 22 filer and I am anxious as hell so this tracking helps me have a deceiving thought that I am in control of something! haha And I see that they basically just processed the highest number of cases since April this week, I don't know if this will reflect on our months, maybe only the second quarter of 2022 cases will feel the difference, but it does give us hope that at least the 15 month mark will not go up for us. I think there are still people tracking July and August here, there are only a few cases untouched, but there are many RFEs. I think they are trying to clear up 2021 cases but they're also started December so we can't know their main focus right now. I am counting on May for me, hopefully you guys will be earlier. We can always hope too that they won't move to the other month while there are still a lot of cases left – and then hope we are not the ones left behind. We're simply at their mercy, and that's a hard pill to swallow.
  4. Yay, I'm glad someone is running the numbers for January! I see now that my first track had a huge mistake on my end. Since I do it manually I inserted 13 approvals on group 42000 and it was only three. My mistake so please ignore my previous table(!!!) This is what I got today as well, almost same numbers but could be manual errors from me or some delay in the app. I'm not tracking withdrawals so it could be even less cases now left to process. I'll let @Ngillet manage the numbers now. Good luck everyone!
  5. Yeah, I feel it's time consuming but it would be more time consuming finding a script and learning it. I reached out to some people but no luck, and the only open code script I found required some proxy tool that I didn't want to use as my computer is my work one. And I also don't really update it every day so it works best for me. See with the previous groups, I see some people are sharing scripts there.
  6. Oops, I just realized that I wrote "total" when it should be "untouched/other action". So that column means the ones still left to be touched in that group. See below the corrected one. Thank you for letting me know. Also, to reply to your other question, I use the Case Tracker app on a MacBook, so that might be the difference. Not sure how it works on a PC.
  7. Hi, I don't use a custom script, I honestly just go by the Case Tracker app, tracking and analyzing groups of 500. It's a manual and more time-consuming way, I know. I just got used to it now and I use both my computer and my phone and sometimes my tablet to help. These are the January groups above. I mean that I can send you the spreadsheet above so you have groups and numbers to start. If you want to try running more automated ways, I'd request it from the September/October/November groups, they seem to be doing it like that.
  8. Hi, January 2022 filers! I'm a February filer tracking the February cases and @elijayh66 asked me if there was anyone tracking January. After reviewing this thread and others, I don't think there is (raise your hand if you are!). I did run the January numbers quickly and not in much detail and came up with these numbers so far: 95 Approvals | 275 Denials/Rejections | 5 RFEs | 3118 Untouched Keep in mind I didn't look out for expedites, withdrawals or latest approval dates so these numbers are pretty basic and raw. Seems like it's almost the same numbers as February right now. Lines up with data in the previous months threads seeing they haven't started actively working on the December cases yet. I won't be able to keep track of January like I do with February because I don't use a script, but I can try to get these numbers from time to time. If anyone wants to track it going forward, let me know, I can share this table.
  9. No problem at all. I got curious since I couldn't find any data at all here for January so I ran the numbers without much detail (didn't look at latest approvals, expedites or withdrawals) and I came up with this: 95 Approvals | 275 Denials/Rejections | 5 RFEs | 3118 Untouched Seems like it's almost the same numbers as February right now. Lines up with data in the previous months threads seeing they haven't started actively working on the December cases yet. I will post this on the January thread as well, but I won't be able to track January like I track February, unfortunately.
  10. I don't know of anyone keeping a spreadsheet for January 2022. At least not here on VJ. Too bad don't use a script – I run straight from the CaseTracker app which is a more time-consuming way of doing it – or else I'd take on the task.
  11. Hi, February 2022 filers! It's almost February again and I feel we are all apprehensive and anxious for an approval since a lot of us will complete a year of waiting soon. And really, I didn't think I'd be experiencing this kind of anniversary. I don't know if this is good news or not but I'm noticing a lot of movement and updates in these last weeks of January. Few approvals, many denials (hope none of us here!), and cases closed because the benefit was received "by other means" (probably because a spouse petition was approved). But after months of boring tracking with not many updates, even these kinds of updates make me happy. I'm trying to keep the Google Sheets table updated weekly but will adjust the frequency accordingly to the number of updates I see throughout the week. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15yTdQDjmS6ik3bPNGmThSc0jFUszsiGcXurI1hT_Jcw/edit?usp=sharing Stay strong, it's almost the end (of the first stage of this visa anyway). And I hope we have a good Valentine's Day this year!
  12. Just another perspective then... Me and my fiancé were never married before, no kids, in our late 20s, less than a month in age difference, plenty of evidence of bona fide relationship, talked for years before getting engaged, both have a stable job and good income, never had any problems with the law or immigration... And it's been 340 days already for the I-129f petition to even be touched and I don't expect to be there and marry him at least until Fall this year (or even Winter!). It's a hard lesson to learn, but listen to the most experienced members here... nothing in immigration is easy and quick. I got tired of shutting down relatives and friends researching options and "loopholes" when in fact they do not exist or are blatantly illegal. When I got into this process, I was waiting for 6-8 months for the petition, now it's 15.5 months and you just gotta keep going and manage your expectations. I believe that if two people really love each other, they will withstand everything together. This process as it is right now takes the commitment to each other to a whole other level.
  13. I think you should join the thread above since your NOA2 was in January. I think the remaining people are are still waiting for their NOA2 so most won't be able to help you.
  14. I only track those filed in February 2022 so it's not your case, but it's eerily similar. I would try contacting them. Just stumbled to this thread with tips that can help:
  15. Hi, I'm a February 2022 filer and I track the cases for my month. I noticed some cases I tracked were approved twice as well – especially one that matches your timeline exactly as it got a first approval on December 20th and then another one on January 12th. I am not sure why and I am not sure if that affects your case at all (hopefully won't affect your NVC timeline), but you're not the only one. I know it might be hard to talk to someone, but I would at least try calling USCIS to clarify that.
  16. Even for renewal without the interview it's taking a lot of time from scheduling to dropping the documents at the visa center. My parents just renewed their tourist visa (it expired in October 2021 I think). They applied for renewal in April 2022 and only managed to find an available date in January 2023 for dropping their documents in São Paulo (interview waived). We kept checking the website all the time to try to find an earlier date but only found one in December (one month ahead of the previous date). They got their passport/visa back after 2 weeks. I heard it's best to check on early morning times (midnight to 5AM), that's when there might be earlier dates available, but I'm not sure if this is valid or not. Also if this is a huge priority, maybe renewing it through a visa agent ("despachante") can work out as they probably know how to schedule earlier/get earlier dates. Unfortunately I can't vouch for this either, just word on the street. And I'd say refrain from ever using the word "help" here and anywhere. I know that this kind of help is not work – it's not like you are bringing her to US so you can save on babysitters – but as you can see from the replies, this term gets super misunderstood here. I guess it's cultural and some other cultures don't really understand why you would need help from your relatives, especially parents (even if just emotional help) when you give birth/have a newborn. I don't get it as well, but just a suggestion to refrain from using this word when it's just your mom meeting your child and providing you maternal support.
