JULY 2022 I-129F K1 FILERS
Bh_sarah replied to J&D1008's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Congratulations! Your case is now going to NVC and you'll be assigned a case number then it will be forwarded to the embassy. There's a thread for it but it's empty, maybe you can be the first. But you can check the August, July, June and other previous threads like that to have more insights. -
This issue with the original/scanned/wet signature/photocopy/etc version of I-134 is a constant thing here on VJ. My final position is: check with your embassy. They should accept a legible photocopy of the original wet signature form as per form rules. Also hard to differentiate a legible, clean scan of the original one and the original in black ink. Embassy is department of state, but the form is from USCIS. That’s why it gets confusing. I had to check with mine and they told me a scanned was just fine. I suggest you do that too if you’re worried. I did that because I freaked out due to this misinformation from one of the filers in my country. Not every petitioner can be present at the time of the interview and not every country has a cheap and reliable post service (it would cost us $150 for him to send me one single page of the form).

I see. So it's basically MMR, Varicella and Hep B missing for you (no records, so no way to prove you took them). From the doctor in Rio (they should follow the same vaccine requirements from CDC): -Hepatite A: até os 18 anos (18 anos ou mais não precisa) -Pneumocócica 23 para quem tem 65 anos ou mais. NO MOMENTO INDISPONÍVEL NO BRASIL. I'd shoot the clinic an email about it. They usually reply quickly.

You don't have any records at all? Is your medical super far out? I'd take at least the influenza vaccine that is one dose only, but the others require more doses so may not be enough time. If you have no proof at all, you'll need to take them all after the medical and the doctor will only approve you once you take it. The vaccines you need if you're 18-64 years old are: Hep B, Td/Tdap, MMR, Varicella (if you never had chicken pox), Influenza and Covid (3 doses - 2 + booster). https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/pdf/Vaccine-Requirements-According-to-Applicant-Age-panel-physicians-p.pdf These instructions are from the SP doctor, they don't want you taking any vaccine before the medical. You can contact the clinic and they will advise you better: Não tomar nenhuma vacina antes da consulta médica. Aguardar, pois o calendário vacinal a ser seguido é o Americano (no posto, seguirão o Brasileiro). Caso venha a fazê-lo, isso poderá retardar a finalização de seu processo em até 4 semanas.

It won't expire in 30 days, you just have 30 days to fill it and submit it as soon as you start it. If you don't submit it in 30 days, then they won't save the info and you have to start over again. My advice is to fill DS-160 whenever you have a case number, then submit it when your case turns to "Ready" on CEAC. The embassy welcome email is generally a guidance for interview scheduling, and it all depends on your embassy. I was able to schedule my interview as soon as my case was ready, but I gave enough time between booking and the interview data for the embassy to contact me. My embassy sent me the "welcome letter" (it was an email) 6 days after it was ready. Try to see what other people in Spain are doing.

I'm sorry. Some people are experiencing a long wait on NVC, and it's due to USCIS not sending the petitions to NVC in a timely manner. It's good that you got the news it was received. Don't let NVC tell you now they don't have it, always attack your received email on August 23rd and mention that you are aware that it was received, and you want your case number if the case has been created. Hope you get it in time for the next shipment 🤞🏻

I'm sorry, some people seem to experience a longer wait at NVC. What are the replies to your inquiries? Did you already got news it was received and it's waiting for data entry? Are you now only waiting on a case number? There are also stories of people that got shipped but never got the K1-FTP email so all they gotta do is keep trying to get the number from NVC.

I'm sorry, Saeid! There are a few threads here on VJ about it and some theories about it. Some relate to beneficiaries of MENA countries (which I think it's your case?), some related to STEM jobs. The problem is that they never give a reason why you were given the DS-5535. I hope it's fast for you. I think *maybe* the fact they wanted to see a ticket to US may be them wanting to make sure they might give her passport back in time? I have no idea. I think for long DS-5535, they usually give the passport back to the beneficiary. They kept hers right? Hoping it's quick for you and this is just another inconvenience.

I absolutely understand you. I think I'll be fine too with just transcripts but I am taking other evidence with me to guarantee it. I think the fact your bank doesn't sign on it is not a big deal, but I am not familiar with what DR asks. So just to be sure, see what other people had to present there. For specific embassies, unfortunately FB groups are the best way to go, but VJ may have some answers too.

Are you able to reach out to people that went through the interview in DR to know what they took as evidence? Every embassy is different when it comes to I-134. I am not even getting a bank letter, just tax transcripts, pay stubs and employer letter, maybe W2s, but I heard all they care in mine are tax transcripts. I think bank letters might be extra evidence in case the income is too low? But again, it all depends on the embassy, some are stricter than others.

Yeah, I think it might be recent but not as recent, so there's a chance, but safe to say you will get shipped on the next one fore sure if you miss this one. Also, there's no way to know your case was on that shipment. It's not all K1 cases as far as we know, and it could literally be any other shipment that doesn't include your case.

Yes, black ink, handwritten signature always. But about sending her the original piece of paper you signed on vs. a scanned version of it, depends on the embassy. I needed to check directly with mine and they told me a scanned one was accepted (or else I'd pay $150 to mail it). Do you know when was your case created? Look at the three numbers after the year, subtract 500, then you'll get the Julian date. Search for it on Julian calendar 2023 and you'll get your date. If it was created at least 1-2 weeks ago, then there's a chance you might make this shipment.
