Yes, so your case is now being sent to NVC that will create a case number that you will use at the embassy and send your case to the embassy. USCIS part is done right now. The embassy will require the list of documents for the interview, including IDs, passport, passport photographs, police certificates, medical, and DS-160 (fillable online) and the I-134 form. It depends from country to country so I'd check it, but I-134 should be taken to the interview along with the financial evidence to support it as far as I know.

You'll need it for the interview (the beneficiary needs to present it on the interview along with the other documents required). Nothing is submitted to NVC for K1. I am waiting to fill out the I-134 because the form will expire on July 31st. I want to take the new version seeing my interview won't be before this date.

I did! Got a confirmation one when I did submit the request, then one when they mailed me the certificate. But I am not sure how's that working now as I did it through the website before the system changed to email application due to the attack. This was back in March now looking at my emails. Submitted on March 18th, they mailed it on March 30th... April 4th they had the attack. Which means my info was probably compromised but I was able to get the certificate.... yay?! haha

Yeah, usually the reports when you're inside the country are valid for less time then if you don't live in the country anymore. All the information is confusing and you can get so many different answers. I emailed my embassy and they said 2 years for national and foreign ones, so I am counting on it. And yes! Honestly, UK one from abroad was way better than Canada. Canada wanted me to mail my fingerprints, it would be an ordeal! Yes! Same as here! I'll just get another one when it's closer to the interview just in case ahaha I am glad it's not too bad, especially from inside the UK! I issued my ACRO probably a month before the cyber attack. It was sent to me in 10 business days, but it took a LOT of time to reach me in Brazil (our post office issues). I sent a copy to my fiancé just in case and his arrived way before mine.

Oh, definitely a good advice. It does depend on the country, the Canadian one was so hard for me to get from abroad so I decided to get it while I was there last year. UK one took about a month and a half for me to get too but I did it before the cyber attack, I guess it's taking more time. But then, my Brazilian one... All I needed was to go to the federal police website and get a PDF, instantly! haha it does depend, but good to have it done early. Also good to see how long does the embassy considers them valid, it varies. Nice! I'm just a month in, but I'm hoping I hear something by the end of July. Fingers crossed for us all!

First 3 are specific to Canada, I assume? My Canadian police report took about 6 weeks too, and yep, specific to immigration, entire repository, etc? I'm hoping it does speed up, most of the approved in March that I know still didn't get their case numbers, and the April ones are just now receiving positive signs that their petition reached NVC

In my opinion, it's the anxiety taking over. You've come this far to start it over again. Of course, you must know your reasons why you are thinking of giving up. If you think K1 disadvantages (not working, not driving, not leaving US) for some months is a dealbreaker, then study your options. If you can go through it, then you are most than half way there to start all over. Stay strong, maybe visit your fiancé/have them visit you to make it less stressing. It's hard and it's hopeless sometimes, I understand it.

It's crazy to me they just tell you it's inside normal processing times when June filers are getting approved in less than a year. We know it's not in order, but wow, you filed 6 months before. The 30 days for a tier 2 agent seems like the norm. I'm sorry about it, I can't wait to see you approved! Yes, keep bugging them! Even if it's just for your own stress relief.

Oh no! I even checked your profile yesterday to see if you had updated your timeline or had any news you did not post here. I am so sorry. I'm seeing approvals are still happening every day and I do hope you get good news soon. It's heartbreaking and infuriating some people are getting their approvals in less than a year while you are still waiting. Have you tried contacting your congress representatives, or even calling USCIS, even if it's just to vent? I think the worst part is feeling hopeless while still waiting every day is the day. Please let me know as soon as you get your approval! Rooting for you! And it's great that you at least will spend summer with your fiancé, try to forget about it for a while and focus on you two.

Wait, was your case sent back to USCIS too???? It's NVC that thought something was missing or didn't agree with USCIS approval. So they send it back to USCIS. USCIS then, to gather more proof that the case is deserving of an approval, may request more evidence. But the RFEs after approval/being sent back are a minority according to data. Most cases get approved and sent back to NVC. Which makes me think it's all internal processing errors from USCIS that NVC caught.

Usually because NVC caught on something missing from USCIS or think USCIS should review the case one more time before they send it to the embassy. I've seen cases being approved again after some time, or receive a RFE to be approved again. Lawfully tells me only a minority of the petitions returned are terminated/revoked, so the error is usually on USCIS internal processing, not really on the petitioner/beneficiary.

I'm glad your senator seems to be willing to help this time. Hopefully this will all be sorted out soon. I didn't see many from January yet, but some started showing up yesterday on February. 3 cases previously approved were sent back
