  1. Wow, I am waiting on the public form inquiry I sent Monday (received a negative answer on Tuesday from the research email). But after so many good news here from late May NOA2s, I just sent an email again today haha! Fingers crossed (fingers crossed they answer it before the holiday too). Congratulations everyone. Hoping it doesn't take long for a case number!!
  2. I second that. You can fill the DS-160 at any time after your NOA2 to be fair, you just need the WAC number. It doesn't expire after submitting it, but make sure all the info you filled there will be valid and current for the interview (no name & address changes, passport renewals, new trips, etc). I feel it's not that difficult to fill that I would need to do it before my case is "ready". And I also need the DS-160 application number to book the interview and pay the fees in my specific embassy, so I will just fill it out then. I honestly have no rush, it's not as difficult or as time-consuming as it looks. But if you want to get it done now, feel free to.
  3. Amazing!! I sent a public form inquiry and an email on Monday. Email came back negative on Tuesday, but I’m still waiting on the public inquiry response! My 90 day prediction was probably way far off (true to March NOA2s though, unfortunately). This is great news for all of us here!
  4. Yup. I've been obsessing about the Feb numbers since May 2022, so it was not nice seeing people approved daily while I was still waiting. But right now, I feel embarrassed for complaining about being left behind when I know at least 5 real cases from Feb still waiting in the dark with no help whatsoever from a representative. Most surpassing the 500 days. Oh, and as soon as you get your NOA2, it's like a heavy weight is lifted from you and you forget about the anxiety! NO kidding! haha everyone here will get there, some quicker than others, but then you will all meet again on NVC queue and then go to your embassy with specific timeframes as well. It sucks to see people that filed after you getting approved before, it's indeed unfair. But we'll all get there eventually! Stay strong and keep the community going, we all have a long journey in front of us!
  5. June people, hang in there and stay calm. The way I see it, you're already so ahead of the curve with being processed in a year. Having a NOA2 and NOA1 in the same month, but 1 year apart is a HUGE WIN. Most of us early 2022 filers waited 14, 15, 16 months and the majority of June is being approved in around 12 months. This is a great thing that can't be taken for granted. Them starting July doesn't mean at all they will stop working on June. And they just started July, it's going to take a while for you to see a significant decrease in activity in your month. But they will keep approving cases. It's too early to say right now you've been left behind. It sucks that maybe you're not in the first wave of approvals, but they are indeed moving faster through months than before. There's no perfect order in this process. There isn't only one person taking a case at a time. If you look at the big picture, they're still processing cases chronologically, from month to month and inside the months, stating from the beginning to the end. It's bulk of activity instead of a perfect order. It doesn't mean your case was somehow skipped because it's not how that works. They are not taking any LIFO approach with I-129f cases. Some cases get approved first. Other cases get approved later. There are people from February still waiting. There are July filers getting approvals. It's the way it is and it's a matter of pure luck in my opinion, even if your case is simple and you did it all correctly. Don't let anxiety take over right now. I know, I've been there. But stay patient and know that this whole thing would've taken you 17, 18 months or more if USCIS were not processing record numbers this year.
  6. My goodness, what a rude agent you got there. I am sorry about this interaction and that you didn't get any help, but also happy your congressman was able to get some insider info (even though vague) and your case may be finally returning to NVC!!!!
  7. I tried filling it out and it worked for me – but I am using Adobe Acrobat (I have it due to my job). Can you try maybe using an Adobe product, like Adobe Reader? Even if it's a free trial? It's the best option for those. The issue I know with this form is actually the beneficiary name on Part 2 and the sponsor name on Part 3. These fields are connected to show the same info no matter what. So the solution is printing only the first page with the beneficiary name, going back, changing it, and then printing the rest with the sponsor name. I wish they uploaded a new version after July correcting this issue.
  8. I-129f inquiry date isn't based on 80% of the cases, but 93% of the cases (they do not publish this number). It's about 18 months last I saw. They may have slowed down on May and moved the bulk of activity to June, but they are still working on May, April, March, even earlier cases. Hope you get an approval soon!
  9. Yep, it's in the form itself. I researched about it here on VJ since the form has expired before in 2021 and 2018. Seems like an internal USCIS expiration for them to review the form, and as long as there aren't any other new forms uploaded until our interview, we're fine (I'd think even if it's released on the same week or day of your interview, embassies should accept that due to timing). I also learned that what we should look at is the edition date and it's the latest one, from January. I think it's all good. I didn't fill it yet because I still have months to go. I don't think we'll have a new one uploaded until then, but I will wait a bit more.
  10. Yep, emailed this one too and filled out the public inquiry yesterday. Still waiting for a reply. But contacted USCIS to see if they tell me if it was already sent, no luck so far in getting an agent that helps. Haha I knew about that. To our luck, guess they aren't able yet to see IP locations 👀
  11. You got a better answer than me haha I tried the Emma chat yesterday and the agent said "please allow 90 days after your approval" and instantly disconnected! Keep trying, you may get an agent that is willing to give you more information.
  12. Hi, everybody! Just to let you all know I will stop updating the spreadsheet on a daily basis. That doesn't mean I will stop at all, but it will be less often and when I do have some time to spare. I also will stop posting the results by range here (though it's easier to see it by range on the spreadsheet). I just saves me time. But if I see anything out of the ordinary, I will post it here. I know people are still waiting on NOA2s, stay strong, it's coming! And just FYI, I updated it on Saturday, and I plan to update it again tomorrow. Totals are as follows (as of June 23): 2231(+8) Approved 330(+1) Denied/Rejected 473 RFE/RFERs 173 Pending Cases 170(+1) Withdrawals Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15yTdQDjmS6ik3bPNGmThSc0jFUszsiGcXurI1hT_Jcw/edit?usp=sharing
  13. Never thought of checking the instructions! This is awesome, thank you. I’ve heard so many conflicting opinions on that (on VJ and on FB) and it seems people want to play on the safe side and then mail the form. Guess it’s not really that big of an issue if the instructions say that. Yep. Same here, but USPS goes to my national mail courier in Brazil and they are famous for not delivering things or taking months. I’m glad we could have a better explanation with the instructions. If you do contact your embassy to confirm, let us know!
  14. This is a question I still don't have answers for. I'm currently on day 45 post-NOA2 and my embassy has a 2 month backlog, that's why I am not looking into this too closely. Also waiting on what our lawyer will say and hoping USCIS do not upload any new form after the expiration date on July 31st. I seem to find conflicting answers here on VJ as well, and many people mix up e-signatures with scanned handwritten signatures. Also seems to vary by embassy so emailing the embassy to check may be good. If it's truly necessary, I am thinking I will have to ask my fiancé to send me the original form with this wet signature via courier. It's absurd in terms of costs, but it will be the only solution. Through DHL though it takes 1-2 days opposed to my unreliable post office that takes 1 month and a half to deliver a simple letter. I can let you know though what I find about it. What do you mean by the packet expiring? If you mean the I-129f expiring, no worries there, it's renewed by the consular officer. I'd say check your embassy interview backlog (by other people's accounts) so you know how long will you have to prepare from "Ready" to the interview being scheduled.
  15. For K1 visas, nothing is submitted to NVC. Once you have the NVC number, you can track your case using CEAC and see if it's still "at NVC", "In transit" (to the embassy) or "Ready" (at the embassy). It seems to me most people follow the embassy shipping calendar to see when they might ship your case to your embassy (present in the first post of this topic). I don't see a lot of people stuck at either of those "at NVC" and "in transit" stages, it seems to move pretty fast, but I can't give you an estimate.
  16. This is great news!!! Means they are indeed speeding up. Since I’m only on Jan/Feb groups, I’m seeing March and April approvals mostly (some still waiting for the case to be received). Hopefully we’re in the group that is getting there faster! Or in the same shipping batch. Exciting!!
  17. Yep, seeing my luck with NOA2 too, I am not expecting anything up until 60, 80 days. Currently I'm on day 43. Sent an inquiry on the 30th day, and to no one's surprise, still hasn't reached NVC. Some weeks still to go. Will send another next week as well. I'm glad @Saeid's case moved faster as he's a December 21 filer. I'm hoping they take in consideration the NOA1 date but definitely not a pattern at all. All we gotta do is wait a bit more and keep inquiring
  18. With that account, then there's two cases with an early May NOA2 were indeed sent to NVC/received. Most cases are still from early/mid April. It's not totally random because it's still following a chronological order, but not really a perfect order – that's why we see March NOA2s and April NOA2s getting their case number at the same day. But if you look at the big picture, most of those getting good news are still in that March/April timeframe. Can't really consider the outliners here. Much like I-129f, there is a chronological order here but since it's not perfect, there are cases that get approved before, others get approved later. The embassy question seems to come up often here. I have not been able to track this down (too many embassies and I am indeed biased and paying more attention to cases at my embassy). But, I guess in my view there are 4 different stages after NOA2: 1. USCIS sending the case to NVC (taking 60-70 days, some may take less, some may take longer) 2. NVC receiving the case and saying they are getting ready to create a case number (usually you get this through inquiry). 3. NVC creating the case number and letting you know either by enquire or official email with the letter (2-3 weeks after receiving it) 4. NVC sending your case to the embassy (seem to move QUICK, matter of days, after case creation). To me, only 3 and 4 can maybe be embassy dependent. I would think that who actually organizes the cases by embassy is NVC, so the backlog of cases waiting to be sent to NVC are too complicated to be embassy dependent. And that is the stage that is taking more time/stage where we are right now (about 60-70 days to receive the news that the case reached NVC). Stage 3, case creation, seems to take 2-3 weeks tops and matches their published timeframes. And once someone has the case number, it becomes super quick, the case reaches the embassy in days, and I base this in a lot of different embassies. I'm seeing rare cases of over 100 days waiting for it to even be received, hopefully we will experience better processing. I think I wrote too much not to say much here haha well, my take is that it doesn't seem to matter much when it comes to embassy in the stage most of us are right now. Like I-129f, some will get luckier than others and will be sent before. I think it's a good estimative to not expect anything until 60 days post NOA2, but keep inquiring and who knows if you're not one of the lucky ones that already got their cases sent! I think once we get a case number, things move fast.

  20. Hello! I'm wondering if there's any K1 beneficiary here from Brazil that instead of going through the medical exam in Rio, chose to do it in São Paulo? What was your experience? Can all the exams and the medical appointment be made in a single day contrary to Rio that asks for the exams beforehand? And how long does the doctor take to send the results to the embassy in Rio? Do we need to go back to the doctor's office and retrieve anything to take with us for the interview? I ask because I'm closer to São Paulo so it would save me time and money to go through it there instead of Rio. I searched VJ and only found one person that did that, but it was for EB-2 visa. I wonder if it's the same for São Paulo. I also already emailed the SP doctor to ask, just waiting on a reply. Thank you!
  21. Today's numbers [June 20th, 2023] Sorry, y'all. I'm late. I think I'm going to start scanning on the day after now. Bare with me! 47000 - 1 approval (from RFE) 48500 - 1 approval, 1 expedite request denied 49000 - 2 approvals (from RFEs) 49500 - 1 denial (from RFE) 50500 - 1 approval (from RFE) 51500 - 2 approvals (from RFEs) 52500 - 2 approvals 53000 - 1 RFE 53500 - 2 approvals, 1 RFE 56000 - 1 case transferred (counted as withdrawal) Today's totals: 11 new approvals (6 from RFEs), 1 denial, 2 RFEs, 1 case transferred (withdrawal), 1 expedite request denied Totals so far: 2220(+11) Approved 327(+1) Denied/Rejected 473(-8) RFE/RFERs 188 Pending Cases 169(+1) Withdrawals Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15yTdQDjmS6ik3bPNGmThSc0jFUszsiGcXurI1hT_Jcw/edit?usp=sharing
  22. Stay strong, it's taking about 60-70 days to get a positive feedback on NVC receiving the case, and about 80-90 for a case number (according to January and February filers with March and early April NOA2s). You'll hopefully hear something soon.
  23. I researched VJ about it. Found this https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/586634-form-i-134-affidavit-of-support-expiring-right-before-my-interview-date-help/ and this: Seems what they care about is the edition date, currently it's January 2023, so pretty recent and the latest one. I'm still early into the NVC stages and my embassy is not the quickest for interview dates, so I am choosing to wait a bit and see if they will release a new form. I'll probably only get a case number by the end of July I think. Guess for people whose interviews are close and will be right after the expiration, there's no major issue to using an expired one according to that threads above.
