    We have different names, mine is Bobby Singh and her name would be Sandy Kaur. We keep those name for life. However when she was born they forgot to add her last name and in India she didn't have any issue. Here they require a last name and used FNU = First Name Unknown, while using her first name as her new last name.

    Hello VJ, My fiance came her on a K1 and only has one name. She got her K1 visa and SS card, they both have FNU Sandy on it as the name. When I'm adding her to my credit card and bank accout do I use FNU as first name and Sandy as last name or just use Sandy? Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you

    Hello VJ, My fiance doesn't have a last name on her passport and when she got approved for the K1 it came as FNU Sandy. Once we get married can she have a different last name then me? Example Bobby Singh and Sandy Kaur. I wanted to know if this will cause an issues? Should we wait until she gets her green card to change the name? Thank you,

    Hello VJ, My fiancé arrived in USA with a K1 visa on Feb 05. I'm going to apply for her SSN tomorrow (Feb 17). She only has a first name as given name on the passport. On her K1 visa it has FNU as first name, and her name as last name. My question is when I fill out the SS-5 do I use her first name only and leave the last name blank or do I use the name as shown on the K1 visa FNU FirstName? Thank you in advance.

    Hello can you also use this website (https://save.uscis.gov/save/app/client/ui/case-check) to check if the SAVE-ASVI has been updated to apply for a SSN at the SSA? My Fiance (K1 visa) arrived on the Feb 5th and I have a day off on Feb 17th. I want to go apply for her SSN before getting married and applying for AOS.

    Hello VJ, My fiance(k1) just reached US last week and I want to apply for her SSN, do I need an appointment at the SSA office for it? What documents do I need to bring? Is there something I should carry saying K1 visa can get SSN before marriage? I think I have to get the I-94 from online. Please let me know the process if you have recently been through it.     Hello VJ, My fiance is coming to the US next month with K1. I heard the fees might be going up for AOS. So I wanted to get married fast and apply for AOS, how long should we wait to get married? I'm thinking like a week or so and going to court to get married. I'm in NY and if anyone knows the procedure to get married in NY please let me know. Thank you
