Thanks for the details. I had messaged them 2 times already. Last email came in on February 17th 2023. We knew that the Carnaval week was probably going to be a none-action week, but looking at your timeline gave us some hope 😂. I'll wait until Monday and see. Hopefully we hear something by then.

Awesome. Thank you so much. If you see my timeline, our case was sent to the Rio embassy at the same time, and we got the same Interview date. Unfortunately we still haven't received anything from the consulate. We hope to hear something either tomorrow or next week.😢.

I was able to Fill out the DS-160 and also book the interview appointments with just the Case number. Our case is for Brazil though, so maybe its different for other countries. Hello, Good evening! I recently booked my K1 visa interview for Rio de Janeiro, and I found it very weird that their interview date changed from Tuesday's to Monday's for April 2023 interviews. Anyone has an idea why this is? 🤔 Could it be because of holidays for the month of April?

Are they doing Monday interviews now? I thought it was only on Tuesdays.

Interesting how some cases are sent in 3 weeks while others wait about 6 weeks. Weird right 🤔. Overall, I think on Friday next week I'll send an email to NVC to see how my case is going.

If I can jump in really quick. You'll have to send them an inquiry to NVC see if they received your case from USCIS. They don't give you an exact date, but you can get a general idea depending on when you sent the inquiry. For example, my NOA 2 is from Nov 14th 2022. I sent an inquiry on December 9th and they said they didn't receive it yet. I called USCIS on December 16th and they said they hadn't sent it yet. Then I sent another inquiry to NVC on December 28th and they said they recently received it. So my guess is that they received my case around December 28th 2022.

Please Let me know if you receive your case number 🙏. I have a NOA 2 of Nov 14th 2022, but based on the longer wait time for of NVC case creation, it seems probably by Mid to end of February 2023 we'll hear something. 🙃

I noticed that as well. I'm hopeful that NVC gets a stack of cases once or twice a week. So maybe November 7th-8th they received 800 cases for example. Then the next stack came Novemer 15th or something. I hope that's how it works. Otherwise this will easily turn into a 100 day waiting time frame just to create a case.😢

I noticed that the NVC Case creation timeframe has increased drastically the past 2 weeks. Anyone know the reason why? Could it have been because of Christmas / New years week? It's been increasing slowly since November 2022. Hopefully the can reduce it to below 30 days again. Right now it's at 62 days. Steps after filing DS-160

I think after they create your case, they send it to the consulate. After it's in READY state, then you can file for the DS-160 and pay the fee. Afterwards you select the interview date / ASC appointment, etc. From what I've read. -
NVC said they received my case from USCIS. Probably by Mid February 2023 My case is created. Hopefully sooner 🐼🙏

Means you can fill out the DS-160 and schedule an interview, from what I've read in the forums.

There is a phone number. I called today but apparently they aren't receiving inquiries by phone anymore. So I called USCIS phone number and spoke to the agent. They said my case hasn't been sent to the USCIS yet. I'll call again in the first week of January.

I see. I sent an inquiry last week and they told me my case hasn't been sent yet. It's understandable for me, because my NOA 2 is from November 11th 2022, so I wasn't expecting it to reach NVC until at least December 22nd or so. What I'll do is Call them [ NVC & USCIS ] on December 22nd around 7pm New jersey time and see if I can get an agent to check for me. I know its frustrating but stay strong. Hopefully by next month your case is created. You're almost there. Keep in contact with them every 2 weeks.

This is scary.🙃 Why did USCIS wait until December 2022 to send a K1 petitions with a NOA 2 from September 2022. Is this the norm or was your case maybe forgotten? I've seeing emails of People with a NOA 2 from October 31st 2022 that had their case shipped to the NVC already.
