  1. My wife's visa was approved. The embassy refused to accept the DCF, I just prepared his I-130 and I was told to submit evidence on the reason why I need the application to be expedited? I don't know if a month a half baby is a enough reason for USCIS to expedite a visa.. it's ridiculous.
  2. So my wife's visa has been approved (we're waiting for the visa stamp), we tried the DCF option to include our new born baby but the US consulate here in casa shut down the idea. Now we've prepared a new I-130 for our almost 2months old baby, I tried to expedite the application via live agent requested in Emma but the agent told me that I need to submit an unsolicited evidence for the reason to expedite. I don't know what to include as an evidence? Is a plea letter along with the birth certificate enough? both our parents are still alive but old and unable to care for a new infant. I don't know what this evidence should be? Any guidance is really appreciated. Also the baby doesn't qualify for the CRBA.
  3. We end up not following his suggestion and she was approved .
  4. Yes, I included all requested information, including the correct title they specified, along with both our names and his name and any necessary details(almost 2 word pages full). The very next day after my last comment, I received a call from an individual at the US Consulate, and I spoke with a Moroccan gentleman. I explained my situation, and he informed me that what I was requesting (DCF request) is only available to military spouses and government employees assigned to Morocco, and not open to the general public. He advised me to file a new I-130 petition for my son, and to request expedition. As many Moroccans are aware, obtaining even a single document from the local government takes an arm and a leg let alone registering a new baby, applying for a birth certificate, obtaining a passport, and then translating all the necessary documents for the USCIS portion. I have been running around for the past month just to get all documents necessary for his passport, and it has been 15 days since I applied for it without any update yet. The funny thing is that this gentleman suggested to not have the medical done, have my spouse come to the interview and tell whoever interview her that she couldn't get a physical exam date (basically lie) so she can get an RFE to delay my spouse's visa stamp, send that expedite request for my son and go through the whole I-130 process then once his application is approved, we can call the embassy again and tell them that we were able to get a DR exam for my wife and ask that my son's interview can be on the same day she brings the medical exam folder and bring bring his as well.. is that even a good suggestion?it doesn't seems like it.
  5. I think I've made a mistake here, I've emailed the consulate 3 times and haven't heard anything and I've called them like 10 times without any help. The lady asked my wife's case# and contact info, I feel like I wasted 2 weeks over nothing.
  6. I have contacted the embassy today and was told that I need to contact the authority where I filled my wife's application which didn't sound right given the current circumstances. I also reached out to the embassy back in October and explained the whole situation when my spouse was pregnant and was told that they can't help me, and I'm pretty sure it was a local who answer both times. So I end up sending an email to visascasablanca@state.gov, provided details of my case and now I have to wait to see if they'll help me.
  7. Thank you so much @Crazy Cat, I will follow your suggestion and will report back.
  8. What else do I need to provide? The fee, his passport and his birth certificate? I assume I will have to provide everything for the I-130 but instead of sending it to USCIS it will go straight to the embassy. Am I correct?
  9. I will call the consulate Monday morning. If they accept my request, will his application be like his mother just a regular I-130?
  10. Ok, I will call them on Monday. Thank you so much.
  11. I never thought it would come to this but I guess here we are. My wife and I just welcomed our first son, coincidentally receiving her invitation to attend the embassy interview on the same day.. talk about luck. We understand that we need to apply for an IR2 visa for our son to accompany her, and we're considering requesting an expedited process to make sure that both visas are issued at the same time (if possible). Fyi I'm the USC but I don't have the full 5 years to apply for the CRBA for him. I have a few questions and was hoping to get some guidance. Is the IR2 visa application just a standard I-130? How can we request an expedition for this process? Do we have to request an expedition during the NVC stage as well? Apart from showing proof that he's my son and obtaining a passport for him, what additional documents are required for his visa application? Considering the timeline of 2 months until the embassy interview, is it feasible to complete all necessary steps in this timeframe? Would it be advisable for my wife to proceed with her interview while our son's application is under review, and we wait until his visa is issued before making travel arrangements? Any other suggestion you folks may have for us?
  12. I wasn't implying he was @Crazy Cat sorry if I came off that way. I'm just trying to understand and we've been thinking about that plan for a while now. I just wanted to check and see of there is a site that I may have missed where I can check how far back the consulate in Morocco is backed up.
  13. Why is that? We've been waiting for over a year now. That was not the plan, it just happened and also I'm a USC so my child can get his citizenship via CRBA.
  14. Our I-130 case was approved at the NVC level almost 10 days ago, but we haven't received any communication from either the NVC or the Moroccan embassy regarding the interview date. I would appreciate it if someone could provide info on the typical timeline for scheduling an interview at the consulate in Casablanca. Additionally, my spouse is currently 6 months pregnant, and we are concerned about whether this will pose any issues during her medical examination as part of the visa application process. Also, can she fly at 7 or 8 months of pregnancy?
  15. I just received a msg in my NVC portal "All required applicant documents have been received and approved" and the body of the message I found "DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED" Does this mean I'm approved? and I have to wait for the embassy for an interview? I only sent the documents on the 9th of this month.
  16. Like i mentioned in my previous comment, i have a P.O. Box setup which i can use as my mailing address if I'm allowed to. So use my abroad address as my physical address and P.O. Box as my mailing?? Domicile evidence? What should that be one more you know my situation?! Sorry for all these questions.
  17. I forgot to mention that I have a po box setup where all my mail goes to and my friend does scan my mail for me. can I use a po box to receive in my i-864?
  18. Do I update my address to reflect my friend's house? and use the new license for proof of domicile? or what am I looking at here? I currently do have a valid NC license but since I'm overseas the address is not longer valid. I was going to use my bank with my friend's address as proof of domicile. Is that not valid?
  19. Thanks for your message! I have a steady income that's more than enough to cover all the folks in our household, which is what we need for our application. I'm also good about paying my taxes and have the tax returns and transcripts from last year (2022) to prove it. Also, my driver's license is from North Carolina, which is where we're planning to live. I had my own place, but I made the decision to break my lease and visit Morocco a couple of months ago. At that time, I didn't anticipate our application being approved. However, here we are, needing to file for the NVC phase, and I'm uncertain about the options available to me at this point.
  20. I have a us driver license but it will have a different address than my friends addy. Like is said I will be using my us bank account which will have my friends house to proof home domicile it's I have to.
  21. I currently find myself in a unique situation regarding my I-130 application. I am at the NVC stage and need to submit an I-864. Since I am currently visiting abroad and have let go of my place (planning to get a place once the app has been approved), I am uncertain about what to specify as my physical and mailing addresses. I do have a US bank account, which I intend to use as proof of domicile, but I am unsure about the address details. Is it acceptable to use a friend’s address as my own? Alternatively, I could list my foreign address and provide an explanation that I plan to stay overseas until the visa is approved, so my spouse and I can travel together. I want to ensure that I provide accurate information while meeting the requirements of the application.
  22. What did you endup doing regarding the domicile document? Was the bank account with the us address enough ?
  23. Tha link you provided throws an error, would you mind sharing the full list of documents?
  24. So I need two "fiche antropomitrique"? I will get the necessary documents translated, I do however still have the documents I submitted to USCIS. Can I use those if I don't have to worry about the expiration date? - they're less than a year old.
