Thanks for quick responses, @Nag & Matt and @FloraTen. Did you both mail it to the Phoenix lockbox?

Received the text notification today which makes it 5 days since I mailed it with USPS. My case number shows that it’s assigned to Potomac. Is it just luck of the draw where things get assigned? Anyone else sent to Potomac?
Hi @LFP - did you send your application through USPS priority express/normal priority and when was it delivered to USCIS? Just trying to figure out the time between USPS delivery date and USCIS sending notification. Thank you!!

Just got a text update from USICS of receipt notice with form I-797 to follow in mail. So five days after mailing it off, not too bad!
@FloraTen how did you mail your package? And when did the usps/fedex/upst tracking say it was delivered?

Got it. After doing a lot of research and checking on multiple forums I feel cashier’s check is the most sure way of sending the money to USCIS. I think I am going to try to do that and see if they accept it this time. Let me know if that doesn’t sound like a good idea.

Thanks everyone. I will send it out before I receive the package if that’s the case. Is credit card a safer option? Do people face issues with G1450 (credit card)as well? I am just not sure what is a completely sure way of making the payment.
I miswrote G1450 as G1145 above.

I recently filed form I751 for removal of conditions on my conditional residence and in around 2 weeks from the receipt the status updated to USCIS rejected my application due to insufficient funds (checking status online). There was more than $50k in my bank account and the bank said they never tried to cash the check. I wanted to ask if I should wait to refile until I get the rejection notice in mail or should I just send the new application already, without waiting. I have the new application ready to go and planning to pay through G1145 (credit card) this time around. My GC expires in less than a month. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Kat2022 - The exact same thing happened with my case. Can you share an update around how you handled it and if USCIS sent you the original package back?
Thanks,
Ashish

Thanks @LFP. I just received a notification this morning (2/16) that they received my package at Phoenix Lockbox on 2/14. I had mailed it through Priority express on Friday (2/11) and it was delivered on Saturday (2/12). So it does seem like around 2-3 business days before they send out the text notification.
Great to have a bunch of people on similar timeline. Let me know whenever your payment gets processed and I will do the same. From past experience, that's the best way to know that your application has been accepted.
