Hello We received today a RFE saying that my wife (the petitioner) must submit proof of domicile. Her application has our physical address in Egypt, what should we submit for her? Our plan was her to travel before me when i get an interview date but now we’re living together in Egypt. She used to go to USA many times and sometimes stayed there for more than 7 months can you please help me regarding this? Thanks

Yeah but sometimes it's confusing cause I'm married filing separately but my spouse is not filing taxes cause he's Egyptian and he lives in Egypt. So I'll attach this result to explain that yes I'm married filing separately but my threshold is not 5$, I have another threshold cause I'm dependable on my brother taxes.

And if not, how long does it take to file taxes and get a tax return to be submitted? Like we need to submit today or tomorrow the documents that's the point. Hello everyone, My spouse is about to submit her i864 so she had some questions we are hesitant about, if you can please help us with answers to these! her questions are as below: " Question #1: In Part 5. Sponsor’s Household size: I'm filing for my spouse as the principal immigrant, so it auto populated automatically the count "1" in Part 5 Item #1 , but there's a question in item #3 if you're currently married enter 1 for your spouse however if I did then I'm counting my spouse two times so it gives a sum of my household of 3 not 2 (including me) which is not accurate, should I leave item #3 blank? Cause if I entered 1 it will give incorrect number of household and if I put 0 it means I'm not married and I'm married. Question #2: In Part 6: Sponsor’s Employment and Income: Should i put income of my Egyptian husband who's working in Egypt in item number 8 in Part 6 or leave it blank? It says in the instructions of the form that I must provide evidence that his income will continue from the current source after obtaining lawful permanent resident status which will not happen as he'll leave his work to travel. Question #3: In Part 6: Sponsor’s Employment and Income: Should I Include my brother (that I'm dependent on in the tax returns and I’m attaching his tax returns as proof) support as income in Part 6? Question #4: Required Financial Documents to be submitted on the website: I have left my job since May 2022 and I’ve been working for eight months in Egypt and I can’t get an employment letter from my Egyptian employer to prove any income during this period. However, my income is below the income tax needed to file taxes (1,645 $ per year in Egypt) and I’m not paying taxes so I’ll just prepare a word document and state the case, and I’ll sign on it and I will attach my brother who’s been filing taxes and putting me as a dependent to prove that I don’t have to file taxes also I will attach a form that I’ve completed an online test from IRS website that gave me the results of “you don’t have to file taxes for 2022” as proof, will that be enough for my financial evidence? Question #5: My other brother will be our joint Sponsor as I'm not making enough money to sponsor my husband, should he file I-864 or I-864EZ? Hello everyone, The case is my spouse is an American Citizen and we received the welcome letter from NVC (applying for IR1 (green card for me)), she's been going back and forth between Egypt and United States. Since our marriage, in October 2021, she didn't file taxes but she's working since September 2021 and she's making 3,800$/year, However she's been dependent under her brother since 2018 and he files his taxes every year. Another person is going to be our sponsor and is going to file i864 and submit his tax returns and that's okay, Does she need to file taxes for 2022 and 2021 and wait until we get the tax transcript and submit the documents, OR just submit the tax return of her brother and write a document stating that she's been under him as a dependent and that she's making less than 4,400$/year (can also attached employment letter from her work in Egypt stating her salary)? She should submit also i864 even if she's not going to be my sponsor? , If yes, which answer should she check in Part 1 and Part 3 in the form (her form not the sponsor's one). Thank you so much

Sorry I’m a bit confused, you mean she needs to file tax return and have the document and upload it? But she doesn’t need to get proof from the 3 companies stating her income during the last 3 years? Right?

Hello All, We are preparing our documents for NVC, my wife is American but living here in Egypt and she’s been making 2~3K$ per year so she didnt file any taxes as she’s not obligated to pay taxes with these salaries. my question here is should she file i864 also? Her brother will sponsor us he’s already there and making enough money to be my sponsor instead of her. also do we need to get proof from all 3 different companies she worked for here in Egypt that she has been making very low or she can write like a confirmation paper and sign it as proof and don’t file any taxes papers?
