  1. Same here. I logged into my account this morning and saw the same thing. I thought they may be updating the case. May be tomorrow, we can expect to have something?
  2. Yes, you will need to find out who your congressman or senator is and then you can reach out to them. Most of them have their own website where you can submit your request.
  3. You can check the processing times here https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ If yours is outside the mentioned timeframe, you can expedite your request.
  4. Did you file standalone I-130 or did you do concurrent filing of I-130 and I-485? If it is taking longer than expected, you can expedite the case or reach out to your local congressman. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/how-to-make-an-expedite-request This uscis link has instructions on 864: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-864instr.pdf
  5. If you filed standalone I-130, after the approval the case will be transferred to NVC and they will work with the consulate to get the interview scheduled at your mom's country of residence. If you concurrent filed I-130 and I-485, you should receive a communication from USCIS regarding the decision.
  6. Based on what I read in some of the other threads in visajourney and also other forums like reddit, It looks like majority of the 2022 cases were approved in Dec 2022. Those of you whose cases were approved, please update your status here so rest of us know the current stats?
  7. How did you mark your 485 for concurrent processing? Is there anything on the 485 application that says concurrent processing?
  8. It may take some time for them to update the status. You might want to wait for may be a week or so and if the 485 status still doesn't change, you can contact them directly. https://www.uscis.gov/contactcenter
  9. Check your I-130 timeline and see if the latest status is case approved or case closed. Read in some of the other forums that USCIS has been accidentally sending I-130 cases to NVC and then closing the case abruptly keeping I-485 in pending status.
  10. What is the status of your I-130. Does it say, case approved and closed or does it say case sent to NVC?
  11. No, you don't have to do anything. USCIS will transfer your I-130 case to NVC for further processing.
  12. Congratulations! that was so smooth and fast. When your application for permanent residency is approved, USCIS will mail you a welcome notice within 30 days. After you receive the welcome notice, you should receive your Green Card in the mail sometime in the next 30 days. Altogether, that means you should receive your Green Card within 60 days of your approval for permanent resident status.
  13. It depends. Some cases get approved without any interviews(provided I-693 is filed along with I-485).
  14. biometrics done. Now I believe we just wait for the interview.
  15. that's great news! You can go over these links to get an idea on what to expect on the day of interview. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-a-chapter-5 https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/what-expect-your-family-based-adjustment-status-interview.html https://citizenpath.com/i-485-interview-preparation/
  16. I-130 approved yesterday. Hopefully everyone will get their applications processed soon.
