  1. Thank you for the reply. In Mumbai India, they do require Biometrics be completed as least one day prior to Interview. Yes, there are at least a few others in India with same name.
  2. I'm U.S. citizen and my husband has his Interview for the CR-1/IR-1 visa in Mumbai India this March. We would like to begin paperwork to bring his children from India to U.S. now also. The 23 year old was within the 21 years or younger qualification when we began filing for husband visa, so is there an exception then? Could someone please provide what forms/process we need to do for them since he will obtaining Green Card to U.S. soon? We did include them on the "children" shown on I-130. I found this link: Bringing Children, Sons and Daughters to Live in the United States as Permanent Residents | USCIS If I understand correctly, we complete I-130 and I-864 (same as we did for my husband) - correct? Thank you kindly for any help you may offer. We really appreciate it.
  3. I apologize if this question has already been asked - I tried searching for reply in the Forum and didn't see anything. We just received this week notice of Interview in Mumbai for March and every time we go to the following website, it indicates that there is already a Profile for my spouse. We have already indicated several times now that we don't know of any other username/profile but maybe we did early i the stages (unknowingly) so could they provide the username and then we can reset password OR to delete the other profile/username. They keep saying the case is resolved (they deleted the other profile) and yet we still receive the same exact error. www.ustraveldocs.com This is the specific ERROR we keep receiving: Your personal details match a profile which already exists in our database. The User ID of that profile is '{user_name}'. If you created this profile in the past and forgot the password, please use the 'Forgot your password?' function on the login screen. If this user name isn't familiar to you, please contact our helpline through the Provide Feedback option in the left menu or by sending an email to our helpline. Please don't forget to attach the scanned copy of your passport's data page to your feedback message/email. Yes, I tried typing in {user_name}' to see if that would allow us to reset password - no success. Any other thoughts on how to get this resolved? Maybe we can call or email to schedule appointment for Biometrics but that still doesn't resolve that my husband needs to have access to complete the application on VAC..... Thank you kindly for any guidance...it's greatly appreciated!!!
  4. Happy New Year! Yes, ours was the same.....moved from one service center to Potomac during 2022. We received NOA2 on 12/23/2022. However, there appears to have been computer glitch online with I-130 from when I completed it (didn't show the option for Embassy for Spouse) so basically we have delay now since I was required to file I-824 and pay $465 for it. (Those items remitted and just received text of receipt for that now). At least there's been some progress....and I'm learning the tough way that maybe filing things online isn't as efficient as one would think. 🙂
  5. That question though was NEVER available Online for me to answer...I just noticed that the question does show on the copy I saved however. From now on, I'll print copy of forms to be completed - to ensure the Online form is not missing anything.
  6. Thank you everyone for the responses. powerpuff: I completed as per the instructions, the I-130, however maybe I was supposed to complete this section???
  7. Question on the 2 options that appear below - Which is BEST, QUICKEST???? * I am U.S Citizen, and my husband is in India I130 - PETITION FOR ALIEN RELATIVE Notice Type: Approval Notice Section: Husband or wife of U.S Citizen, 201(b) INA The above petition has been approved. However, you did not indicate on the petition whether the beneficiary intends to apply for an immigrant visa abroad at a U.S. Embassy or a U.S. Consulate or will apply for adjustment of status in the United States. Therefore, USCIS has retained the petition. If the beneficiary intends to apply for adjustment of status in the United States, they should submit a copy of this notice, along with a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. They can obtain Form I-485 from the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov, by contacting the USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283, or by visiting the local USCIS field office. Filing address information can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov. If the beneficiary decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, you should file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that require consular action. The NVC also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. It will then forward the approved petition to that consulate. The NVC will contact the beneficiary of this petition with further information about immigrant visa processing steps
