  1. Hello, I'm just about to send my email off to Montreal consulate as instructed in Packet 3, They say within 6 weeks I should hear back and I can go ahead and schedule interview & medical after... Which is great! but here's my dilemma. My brother is getting married this September and It's my understanding that once I enter the states I have 90 days to marry, Then once we file for AOS I will be unable to leave again until its complete, So I wouldn't be able to make his wedding back in Canada. Can I complete packet 3 and then just schedule the interview for around September so that way I can attend the wedding and then proceed to enter US afterwards, I just don't know if waiting that long to schedule interview or anything will cause problems.. My brother understands if I can't make it, but it's really important to me not to miss my own brothers wedding and it would really suck to miss it, but I will if I have too, I just hope I don't. Or is it possible to leave USA when your there during a pending AOS? Just don't know what to do. Thanks, Nick
  2. When filling out the I-134, Declaration of Financial Support for the K1 it asks this "Beneficiary's Anticipated Length of Stay" what do we put for this? We intend to file for AOS right away after marrying, but techincally I'm entering on a 90 day visa so is it bad to say no end date? or should we just put 90 days? Also when doing the interview/border etc, Do I just say we are going to file for AOS right away when they ask when I'm returning home etc, Can I buy a one-way ticket there and just tell the border agent we are going to marry in the 90 days then file for AOS? or is that going to look bad? Thanks, I just dont wanna get in any trouble or face issues.
  3. I got my receipt # the other day from the NVC via email so I used this to file the DS-160 today. I got my criminal record check done yesterday and will have the results mailed to me in the next month, I also went and got 10 us style passport photos for all the upcoming steps and am in the process of having my Fiance fill out the Affidavit of support along with all other required documents. What do I do now?? My embassy is Montreal and I don't see any places to schedule an interview I also have not yet heard from the embassy directly yet.. Do I just sit and wait now until they reach out or do I do something? Also I didn't pay anything for the DS-160 am I supposed to do that somewhere? Thanks im just confused on what my next steps are.
  4. Yes that is correct and my interview place will be Montreal
  5. Thank you so the Affidavit of support isn't needed until it's brought to the interview? Also, when do I go ahead with scheduling the medical & can I get any missing shots/vaxs @ the medical? Thanks.
  6. Hello everyone, I just got an email today from the NVC with a case number, After looking up the status it shows "In Transit Your case is in transit to the Consular Section" I have a few questions. 1) Do I file the DS-160 right now? 2) Should I now go ahead with the getting the Criminal Record Check Done & Having My Fiance fill out the Affidavit of support 3) When do I pick the interview date? Is that in the DS-160 form? Overall I'm just a little confused at what my next step is, I've done alot of research and I keep seeing conflicting reports of don't file the DS-160 now and file it right now.. also I have no idea what I should be doing right now. Thanks alot for your help, I'm sorry if my questions are dumb I'm just really overwhelmed.
