  1. Doesn't change much but it is not a stepdaughter but daughter from a previous relationship. OP is the beneficiary. The "wife" is the USC.
  2. It is the same petition but the supporting evidence will be slightly different
  3. There is no need to format this in letter form. This is a statement of intent not a letter of intent. All I 129F petitions go to the USCIS California Service Center and your Consulate is located at most likely the US Embassy in the country of the beneficiary ( some exceptions do apply)
  4. If you don't notify the USCIS of a change of address then you will miss all correspondence. Do you have family that you can use for mail? If not, there are many services that, for a fee, provide you with a US based address and will monitor and notify you of all mail arriving. USCIS change of address is accomplished online once you have sorted out what you are doing
  5. I134 is carried into the interview and presented if asked. Majority of the time it is not asked for. NBI clearance is all that is needed. For immigration purposes it is only valid for one year. So depending on timing she may need to renew it at some point.
  6. Unfortunately your understanding is wrong. What are the current wait times for a K1 compred to spouse visa? Are they that much different?
  7. Is getting married in Pakistan an option for you?
  8. For petition purposes, nothing out the ordinary is required for a beneficiary from Philippines. Later at the interview stage there will be Manila specific requirements. Visit the Philippines regional forum to learn more about these items
  9. Current income is what is key. If you are in excess of that currently then don't worry Since the Canadian income will not continue it cannot be used for affidavit purposes
  10. Why are you submitting 3 years? Only one year is needed and the other years are optional
  11. 129F is a petition. K1 & CR1 are visas. Using correct terminology is very important to getting correct responses. Both visa types have pros and cons. Understand the differences and make the choice that is best for you
  12. For those residing outside Lebanon, the request must be processed through Lebanese embassies/consulates, but applicants may experience extremely long waiting periods before they receive the document. The "Judiciary Police Record" may also be requested through a lawyer having a power of attorney from the individual authorizing the request. The "Judiciary Police Record" presented by an individual does not mean that the individual is clear. It just states that "this person does not have any court sentence against him".
  13. $265 is the MRV fee for the K1 which is not applicable to you
  14. The petitioners information is accurate as of the petition submission date. Information on the petitioner is not updated after that date.
  15. Even if true and you get the visa issued by June, the visa won't expire probably until near December
  16. You won't need to delay. With a Feb. petition approval you will be lucky to even get the visa issued by Aug doing everything normally. Also, don't forget get that the visa has a six monthish expiration date after it is issued.
  17. When the ultimate decision maker on the affidavit provides guidance on what WILL satisfy the requirement, you simply don't want to believe. You can always choose to ignore the guidance from the Consulate, it is your prerogative.
  18. These are examples of evidence and in no way mandatory particularly if your income is sufficient to meet the requirements. You can use liquid assets if your income is inadequate to make up for any shortfall. I highly suggest you review the Bangkok instructions for the I134. You will find that it says that they are interested in your tax transcripts. Period. That is all.
  19. Did you pay the immigrant fee? Did you check the box on the petition for automatic issuance of SSN?
